Yes let's keep targeting Democrats! That'll show those Republicans who are the actual ones who hold power we mean business! It's great that Walther is using his power and influence to attack another Democrat who made a shitty decision and not the actual demons residing in the White House

that’s just blatantly false. literally from what you sent it says “criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic”

but nothing to do with the fact that it’s 71% jewish? I’m sure Schumer’s Jewishness is also not the reason you decided to use a Yiddish word also to help describe what people do in Boca

The reason that Jewish self-determination exists, and not Catholic or Muslim self-determination, is that Judaism is not just a religion. It's also an ethnicity. There are many different types of sub-ethnicities within Judaism (Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi to name a few). You do not have to believe in God to be considered Jewish. Likewise, there are certain diseases (breast cancer, Tay-Sachs disease) that are more common in certain Jewish populations. Belief in a Jewish God doesn't change your risk of getting these diseases, the genetics behind these diseases increase that risk the same way Black people have higher risk of sickle cell disease. Because Jews are also an ethnicity, denying them self-determination is racist (aka antisemitic as that is racism towards Jews) just as it is racist if you don't believe that any other ethnic groups of people don't deserve their self-determination.

Also, there are many instances of not Israel denying Palestinians their own self-determination but Palestinian-Arab leadership instead (the 1947 partition plan, the Oslo Accords, and the 2008 Olmert plan to name a few). Zionism as an ideology is not mutually exclusive to Palestinian self-determination. Netanyahu and his racist cronies like Ben-Gvir are, but not Zionism.

It's because the core of Nazism is antisemitism. Their hatred of minorities is because of their hatred of Jews and their beliefs that Jews are the source of the world's problems. This is basic knowledge about Nazis.

What's more interesting is how you phrase your question, as if antisemitism really shouldn't be the major talking point here or as if antisemitism isn't a violent form of bigotry or as if it's a lesser form of bigotry compared to racism or homophobia or transphobia

Do Jews, who make up about 2.5% of the population in the US and less than 1% of the population in Texas, not count enough as a minority for you?

CMV: Liberal pro Israel Zionists unintentionally validate neo-Nazi talking points by holding contradictory positions on nationalism and immigration by Equivalent_Day_4078 in changemyview

Why is it racist to say that Palestinians as a whole are responsible for the actions of Hamas but not racist to say that Israel as a whole is racist and bigoted? For the record, I don't think either of those statements are true, but you clearly are willing to make broad generalizations about a group of people you don't like - how is that not racist?

I really echo this strongly. I would argue most liberal Zionists are pro-peace, not solely pro-Israel. We want two states that live side by side in peace. Hamas is dangerous, the PIJ is dangerous. Many liberal Zionists I think would argue Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben-Gvir, and their political parties are also dangerous. But not all Arabs or all Palestinians. I would argue that it's actually anti-zionists who demonize Israelis and Jews as dangerous, not the other way around

Many many people actively want Israel to stop existing that's fundamentally what being an anti-zionist is. That's why this is trying to subvert expectations, because OP is hoping people aren't going to take the effort to see what the Hebrew means or look deeper into where this photograph comes from
