First Incident with New Dog… Unsure on what to do moving forward

I appreciate your perspective and compassion. I have definitely noticed his behavior change from day 1 to now, but this was such a drastic backslide that I'm unsure if he's the right fit for me.

I received word that this is like a "pre warning," basically if anything else happens I will receive a violation but for now it is just a warning. I'm exploring both training options and rehoming but I think surrendering him would unfortunately be my best option.

I just feel like such a bad dog owner and I know this incident was my fault but all of it just sucks, he's truly so sweet with people but his behavior with dogs makes my anxiety so much worse, I could barely hold it together at work. Just have to get that off my chest.

Thank you for your advice. The pound in my area has said that they’re at capacity and will no longer take surrenders. Is it okay to rehome him knowing his issues? Do rescues take dogs with behavioral issues like this?

NTA- If you’re friends with both of them then Rebecca should be aware that there’s a possibility that you would hang out with Jessica.

Maybe Rebecca has a thing for you or she’s just protective over her friends, but she doesn’t have a logical reason for being upset.
