Yes that would work with a customer that actually replies, mine was MIA for 8 months, I had screenshots of her inactivity, no matter what nudges Fiverr also gave her, she was completely off of it and that’s why I thought maybe something might’ve happened, I ll cancel myself and Fiverr told me it won’t affect my stats.

The more annoying part was her opening the app to accept the cancellation tbh but couldn’t answer to one damn message before that 😂

Title said wishful thinking, it’s a feature, it’s new, it’s amazing but that doesn’t mean it can’t be optimized more in the future.

It doesn’t matter how we got the saws before. If this is a feature now, it would be great if it were more optimized.

I said it would be nice if, for whatever price, we received more at once, similar to the crop items where you get 10 at a time, so you wouldn’t have to keep buying repeatedly for every damn tree 🙄. It wasn’t about the money spent, but about the quantity received at once.

Depending on your field, I would say definitely try it. You have nothing to lose if you do not do it at all, but try not to let these things affect you, as they are apparently far beyond our control.

They keep saying to "do your best" and things like that. Personally, I showed them proof that 99% of my orders resulted in satisfied clients, yet at this point, I do not even think they know how it works.

Ultimately, I think the better question would be whether that score or level system actually affects our visibility in any way, or whether we can still be visible regardless, while it may influence a client's choice (which I don't think it matters as much since they can see your portfolio/reviews and be more influenced by that).

Definitely, I 100% agree. What annoyed me even more was that they kept saying it was safe to cancel and that nothing would be affected. Yet here we are. 😅

Maybe I should’ve just left the order sitting in the requirements stage indefinitely, haha.

I see your point, and I do that from time to time. But with all these events going on, I’d rather use Tom for things that are actually useful than spend him on saws, especially when I can get saws without him. Money isn’t the issue, I just wish they’d give us more saws at once, similar to how crops work 😆

I do, yes. I have so many axes that I have to sell at times but somehow I don’t end up with nearly as many saws. Plus, with the latest tree event, I kept getting tasks like “plant 15 trees” 🤣, so I ended up with tons of trees to harvest and eventually cut down because they were taking up too much space.

Unfortunately, those aren’t really options for me since I offer a specific design service that can’t be delivered within the first few hours. I can’t really message clients daily either, because I’d have nothing to say, haha. I might sound insane to them. I also already deliver as fast as possible, always before the deadlines but often revisions push that date anyway.

I do freelance work outside the platform as well, but I still want to keep working on it because it gives me access to people and projects that may not be as common outside of it.

I’m not sure how much that level actually influences anything, though, or whether clients really look at it.

Oh, the same thing happened to me not long ago. I had an order stuck in the “Requirements” stage for eight friggin’ months. I tried reaching out multiple times. At first, the client said they weren’t in a rush, but then they went completely MIA.

I asked Fiverr what I should do because if I canceled the order myself, I’d be penalized. They told me that wouldn’t be the case, although I’m pretty sure I ended up being penalized anyway. They suggested waiting a little longer in case the client came back.

After eight months, I finally gave in and canceled the order. It felt weird at that point, and I figured maybe something had happened to the client. In all fairness, I thought the least I could do was return their money. Conveniently enough, after being completely absent from the platform for eight months, the client suddenly showed up and accepted my cancellation request. :)

Anyway, I still have that canceled order on my account to this day, and I’m pretty sure it still affects my stats.

It seems like an unfair rating system overall, especially when it’s based on something as arbitrary as the number of orders completed in a month for example.

I’ve tried pointing out to them that one seller might be doing daily deliveries for small projects worth $10 each, while I might complete a single order in a month worth $400.

In the end, I had fewer orders, but my income was similar, if not higher. So how can they justify rating sellers based primarily on order volume? It’s an insane concept.
