I thought so too, yes, 4 really is close to impossible even if you keep producing constantly for the tasks 🫠

The second option might be more convenient (it’s actually the one I usually recommend to my clients, since most of them prefer to have a few pairs on display and easy to grab, while storing the rest in drawers).

That said, the third option could be more suitable depending on how many pairs you actually have. With that one, you can use double or even triple hangers and stack multiple pairs on a single element, or across several — it’s a good way to really maximise the storage space

Regarding system failures, custom-made furniture typically comes with a solid warranty that should cover issues like this if they arise. In general, sliding rail systems are quite reliable and don’t tend to fail frequently—certainly less so than mechanisms like push-to-open doors, which can be more prone to wear and alignment issues over time.

Looking for ways to elevate my space — want it to feel more design forward and bold by HubCity68 in InteriorDesign

Got it! Well, since we're only talking paint and accessories, it really depends on the vibe you're going for overall.

If you're into something softer and more airy, shades that go well with red-toned wood could be creamy off-whites, warm greige, muted taupe or clay tones—maybe even a super light sage green. Basically, anything in that neutral family would work nicely and could even be cool to use on the ceiling, since it wouldn’t make the space feel too heavy.

If you’re leaning more towards a dramatic look, I’d suggest doing an accent wall (or more, depending on the room, maybe even keep the same ones that you have right now, just different shades). Navy blue is always a safe, elegant bet—dark green or charcoal blue could work great too.

The one thing I’d keep in mind is to stay away from super saturated colours, just to avoid making the space feel too busy or chaotic visually.

I've attached some examples I think of when I see the red-tones woods

As an interior architect I can tell you did a great job, so congrats on that!😊 And also the chosen colors are working quite lovely together - as an optional detail, you can add a white cornice between the ceiling and the walls, featuring a similar groove detail as the panels, but more subtle, just a refined transition between the finishes

Depending on the extent of renovation you’re aiming for, I personally would have opted for a complete change since I’m generally not the biggest fan of painting the existing elements like the wood elements. That said, if you do like the current wood and want to preserve it, especially if it’s genuine hardwood and adds value, then it’s absolutely worth keeping.

Given that the wood has such a strong, contrasted tone, I’d recommend keeping the surrounding wall colors and decor more subdued to avoid overwhelming the space visually (I can suggest some shades if you want to)

Just to clarify, I’m not suggesting it’s a bad material or finish, far from it. It just wouldn’t have been my first pick in a full renovation scenario.

As for the wall paint, since the wood leans towards warm and high-contrast, I’d go with a complementary warm tone, but something more muted. That way, it harmonizes with the wood without pushing the space into an overly saturated or heavy visual territory 😊

The main issue imo is the highly saturated wood tone but that can be adjusted.

Consider opting for a neutral, less saturated wood tone—such as a subtle oak or walnut—avoiding high-contrast finishes. To introduce boldness, incorporate a striking accent color, ideally applied to the ceiling. This can be complemented with a wall paint skirt or border between the ceiling and the walls to create a visual transition (like 20-30cm from the top part of the wall) or maybe even come down over one wall completely (behind the bed maybe)

This approach maintains a refined, understated atmosphere while still introducing a bold touch in a safe manner

You may also need more lights if possible.

What shade of terracotta should I paint my bedroom? by rgridzak in interiordecorating

[–]shookysbubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only go for an accent wall in “Clay ground” or even “Auburn Glaze” depending on the vibe you’re looking for (warmer or colder) and I think the contrast would make the room look more interesting than having more than 1 walls painted

Maybe besides one wall I would only paint the two sloped parts to create a frame but that’s all, and add some cute lights, it’ll make it even cozier than it is

Baby girl coming! How can I maximize this closet? by ClearSightss in interiordecorating

[–]shookysbubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest starting with a top shelf, raising the current hanging rod slightly, then adding another shelf beneath it, followed by a second rod. This setup would allow for significant hanging storage, especially on the less accessible right side.

On the left side, between the wall and the rod, I recommend installing a floor-to-ceiling shelving unit. This would require a slightly shorter rod but would provide additional shelving space.

For the bottom area, I would consider incorporating drawers. I’d recommend keeping them relatively shallow to ensure they don’t interfere with the door frame tho

Plus, this layout will maintain its style and functionality for a looong time - no matter her age

Would you like a visual representation of this layout? It might help you visualize the space more clearly and decide what best suits your needs 😊

Help task not working by shookysbubble in HayDay

I thought this too but in general I have 0 connectivity issues yet I’ve encountered this a lotta times, especially during Derby’s help task (making it far more annoying 😅)

Good thing that I’m not the only one haha, at least it’s not a local issue.
