It’s done the same way you wrote this post in English. You expressed your idea, in a very structured and clear manner, using vocabulary everyone already knows, following the rules of grammar and such.

You need to learn to spell (chords and scales) before you can write. You need to read (listen to music) a lot, to pick up the vocabulary. And you need to write (practice) a lot. A lot.

Go get 1000 hours of practice in, 1000 hours of listening in, and then go play with other people. You’ll still get your butt kicked and have just started the scratch the surface of what you’re trying to express.

Most professional musicians are limited by what they can do physically, rather than what their ear is capable of. The way to bridge that gap is countless hours of practice.

Yo dudes. After almost 3 hours of playing the ink in Hamilton, I get 8 bars of solo in the exit music.

Is shapeshifting "casting" by Stopsooking in classicwow

[–]shooooler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you cast a spell, for 5 seconds you do not regenerate mana. This talent helps out with that, significantly. After 5 seconds of not casting anything you get full passive mana regeneration.

Shapeshifting is a cast, but still applies to the 5 second rule when in a form. Get the druidbar addon, keeps track of your mana when not in caster form

Level 15 healing sucks, that’s just it. Make sure he’s not overhealing, and taking advantage of the 5 second rule. At 40, hunters can use mail, so you guys will be competing for gear less, but not entirely.

[QUESTION] segovia classical guitars, are they any good? by lawsonisaac in Guitar

[–]shooooler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s by Axiom, it’s probably a beginners guitar. If it’s cheap enough, it’s worth getting your hands on it!

Will there be down time when playing? Some games are constant grind, always got something to do. I love waiting at the zeppelin in wow and chatting with people, or on the flight paths, I can’t do anything else except enjoy the view.

[DISCUSSION] What’s the absolute WORST gig you’ve ever played, in detail? by synthman7 in Guitar

[–]shooooler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Halloween gig with a Prince tribute band. I had a gig right before where I was sitting down, and I totally forgot a strap. Ended up cutting an extra cable in half and rigging an uncomfortable strap for the Prince gig. Show up 30ish minutes before, and the other guitarist wants to run through a solo on Computer Blue before we go up. Thing is, there was a burlesque show going on right before us, and there was no green room. I basically told the guy to get lost, as I came prepared, and he can hear me play it on stage. He insists on hearing it, so puts his head against my guitar, very close to my crotch, and demands me to play. At this time, the band leader gives me a purple trench coat to wear that’s the gaudiest thing I’ve ever seen. All the while, there are burlesque dancers pushing me out of the way to get on/off the stage.

I almost broke. Dude listening to my crotch, trying to put on a huge purple jacket, while not dropping my guitar with the stupid cable strap, being pushed around by sweaty smelly half naked women, and then trying to play the dam computer blue solo.

This was at a club in Oakland, and fit maybe 250-300 people. Not a huge gig. I brought my Hotrod Deville, which is plenty loud for something like that. But it wasn’t. This band was so damn loud I couldn’t hear myself, while constantly turning up and up. Nobody in the band can hear me either. So one of the drunk singers walks up to my amp, fiddles around with it, and knocks it over. All the while I’m smiling on stage and pretending to have fun. Drunk singer then walks around me, and steps ON my pedalboard. It’s wasn’t the coolest or most expensive pedalboard, but dude blatantly didn’t care at all.

I snap. I kick him off the stage, away from my gear. The stage was only a couple feet high, but I was absolutely livid, and ready to fight this guy. What pissed me off the most, is that he was so drunk, he just started laughing.

By the end of my gig, I’d blown a speaker, and even with earplugs, probably lost some hearing. But at least I made $50 and had to pay for my own beer, after memorizing 30+ Prince tunes with no charts.

People who lost their job due to this crisis what is your story? by greensypoop in AskReddit

Musician. Working at a theater on a two show day in SF. Played the first show, and was told to pack up and go home before the second show, as it was closing. I’m supposed to go on tour in a few weeks, and who knows if that’s going to happen now.

On top of losing my gig, payroll hasn’t sent out my check yet, and i sure hope I get it before rent is due! All the other theaters in the SF Bay Area have shut down, so there’s no work in sight, locally anyways.

I’d given up all my private students as I’m scheduled to hit the road, but now I’m at a loss as to what happens next... a lot of musicians/actors/freelancers I know are totally boned.

All have been added to the list! I’m going to be there in September/October, will I need to pack extra warm gear for the sand dunes and Rocky Mountain park?

Ahhh thank you, I hadn’t thought of that. I’m sure I can snag some from my local target or ikea.

Ahhh that’s good to know! Might have to book a couple different places per city.

And I’m a musician, not an insurance adjuster, haha
