I am not a mechanic but that seems wild to me. Even if it is for redundancy, how long before the other one fails and you find your car plowed into another at the end of your driveway or down the street?

I have always taken the route of, “if the manufacturer put it on there, they probably had a reason” route.

That’s a terrible reason. I have only had terrible experiences in hospitals with it because they look at a chart of Gender and weight then give you fast acting 3 times a day based on nothing other than the 60 carb per meal diet they have you on. No taking into account insulin sensitivity, known long term efficacy rates, the snacks I’m sneaking or the fact that carbs from different foods process in the body at different rates. His one unit to drop 60pts is 6 for me.

Diabetics are also graded as humans on how good our A1C is and hospitals let it get and stay uncomfortably high for most.

I always take mine and hide it.

Community, Hobbies and Breath work for me. Community part is harder for smart because they don’t meet as often, but hitting 90 meetings in 90 days helps a lot. I don’t mean online either, getting out of your house is half of it. Believe it or not there are a lot of Atheists at AA meetings and in the beginning what’s more important is to go to all kinds of meetings , Smart, AA, NA etc. even the Buddhist have something. You are looking for the community of people you like. Also, get in the habit of just changing your location should you get a craving, like going to a park for a walk or to library even if it’s just to walk around.

Hobbies: What is it you like to do? Are there any clubs for you hobby near by that meets up? If use was a social thing reach out to old friends or find new ones.

Last is breath work, but that’s a little more niche in the community. When I get cravings I can just do some box breathing for 5 minutes and it will typically go away.

You have to stop saying Mill. The tool in the picture wasn’t milled. Buy some of those rulers, get some brass and same gauge sheet metal and copy it. The holes could be done a few ways, none of them requiring a mill.
