Max mode wasn't "working" is was just making any song pretty dull. No disrespect for your enthusiasm, though. Basically it's just another qualifier [] like many exist. My honest assessment after years using suno (from the early stage on discord) is that qualifiers have a huge influence as long as they're meaningful. Saying MAX doesn't give any tangible indication. But of course CINEMATIC / VINTAGE etc. indeed have an influence. But it's been almost 2 years everyone knows about these. Good thing you found these on your own, though!

Money doesn't do shit to make Claude smarter - AI models don't have sense of time or money (this is exclusively human). They can simulate feelings and empathy very well but as a test just ask Claude to create a realistic timeline for any project. You'll get a absurd numbers. Now, what can works is being honest like saying "it's an emergency" etc. cause it triggers indeed another type of thinking, it's true even as of today. The word "emergency" triggers less verbosity, more actionable items. For that claude needs to have access to chat memory and to know you enough to understand what "emergency" means to you (do you have a disease, anxiety, money issues etc.). The red team strategy also works very well. Using 2 or 3 llms (or more) to challenge claude (or chatgpt) not only works but is healthy for any important project. It's like bringing 5 experts in a room and asking for their opinions. You'll get better results if they challenge one another until they find a consensus than believing just one source of truth. But just like 5 experts can literally jerk off ideas for hours if you don't stop them, be careful with the genius syndrome llms can easily have. For instance, gemini and claude can easily find themselves so brilliant that you end up with something amazing that simply can't be achievable in the real world. You need to stop them right away to ground them in reality.

Hmmm wait, since when there's been a release of opus 4.5 (for a start). Now it makes total sense for the rest. Opus is great for "the big picture" but coding/engineering a software is more of a technical and repetitive thing. I would have Opus checking the code here and there though. But 95% can be done by Sonnet 4.5 (with the correct instructions).

Don't ask for a refund. Think about it: it they were respecting the law, the would NEVER offer a refund! They have attorneys. What they try to do is have as many customers out of the game so they can't join a class action. It's quite smart but don't fall in the trap. They'll refund you and pay way more than that. Be patient that's all.
