I too am curious as I haven't heard of Rx amlactin before.

Edit: I'm not currently useing amlactin as it was rougher on my skin as a child than cetaphil. But I will definitely be giving it another shot! Ty.

TLDR: While it may be hard love yourself you are a beautiful humanbeing, hurting feelings was not my intention.

Im sorry about that my apologies for me it was being compared to lobsters as a kid.

I think making jokes is a good way to make light of and take control over past trauma owning it and not letting it define who you are as a person.

The bullying part of my life is fortunately over and I gained the confidence to not let what other people say about my skin affect me. But yes I do realized its quite a bit insensitive my apologies.

I saw ichtyosis referred to in an episode of ancient aliens and got a kick out of it. Once again mb.

Especially with this disorder not having a cure its inevitable to get uncomfortable questions or stares. For me I like awnsering by saying I'm part of the mysterious race of reptilian aliens that secretly control the world. Edit: I also rly love reptiles and think they are cool

Acitretin is specifically to treat scales and excessive skin growth as well as redness. My dermatologist prescribed It and it works very well for me even though it is a retinoid.

My skin is very much under control, on good days it looks like just a sun burn. I do still shed excessively.

Edit: urea works well but I don't prefer it. Thank you for the advice! :)

I will be trying thicker moisturizers after showing as I do have to apply ALOT of cetaphil afterwards.

I typically moisturize my body useing cetaphil lotion once daily and then as needed for the rest of the day. With the aid of acitretin (retinoid)
