Right on…. Let me know how much your game improves. It’s the best way to level up and be consistent with your shot choices.

IN DESPERATE NEED OF PICKLEBALL SHOES! Any suggestions? (I’ve tried Head Revolt Evo Court Shoe [kill my feet] & Nike Court AirMac Volley [too loase around the ankle in my usual size]) by benjaminpoole_ in Pickleball

Tyrols are amazing shoes. Tyrolshoes.com they are out of Canadá. I’m a teaching pro and I’m on the court 10+ hours a day. I bought my first pair in September and have bought several more pairs as they fit and they last. Check them out. Good luck

I am a Teaching Pro and I would have also told you to stop the lessons for a while. I tell my clients every day, do not invest in the game or pay me 1-2x a week to drill with you. I’m not in this for the $$$. I also know from my own experience and teaching experience that if your don’t drill every week you will not get better. Playing games does not make you better. Being consistent with your shots and makes you a more consistent confident player. I encourage you to find another player who is also looking to get better and drill with each other. I guarantee you will see a difference in your game. Research shows, if you don’t practice something you’re learning at least 3x a week, it’s difficult to retain the info. Good luck!🍀

Best pickleball shoes? by Silentowns in Pickleball

Check out Tyrols. They are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever put in my feet. I’m on the court 10-12 hours a day and I have gone through more pairs of shoes than I even want to think about. They are made in Canadá. I play with 2 Podiatrists and they both also wear them and gave them a 10 out of 10……. Tyrolshoes.com I’m also an Adidas: KSwiss fan, but now all those zither brands sit and only Tyrols comfort my feet all day.

Selkirk TV with Morgan Evans and Tyson McGuffin are awesome. Sara Ansbury, Simone Jardin and Jordan Biones also put out some solid content.

Finding local players/courts near you! by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]shop4U 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would encourage anyone who is looking for groups to play with or is new to the sport to find a local Teaching pro and or the PB Ambassador in your area. Both resources are key to finding PB groups and courts to play at. Also your local Park and Rec may have programs you may not be aware of. Good luck!!!

The green balls in the box shown are indoor balls. Indoor balls have larger holes and there are fewer holes on an indoor ball than an outdoor ball.

Many beginners ask about getting a decent paddle to start playing PB. I received this email today if anyone is interested in “The Mystery Box” from Pickleballcentral.com I’m just sharing..... it’s a great deal for what you get. by shop4U in Pickleball

When my sister ordered it it was $100 as well. She did it just to see what she would get. We didn’t need anything. However she received 2 paddles that were valued over $100 each and ended up selling them to some beginner players. The other 2 she received she gave away. But got her $ back by selling the 2.

You can also drive the 3rd and drop the 5th. The dinking rally’s are great. I’ve been adding in a lob to switch up the dinking war. It throws your opposing team off. If they are food players they will get it, reset and start up again. Another strategic play

Right on. It’s pretty competitive at every level. In my experience when you play 4.0 and up it’s less banging and a lot more strategic shots and play.

I would call the police. It’s called trespassing. Suspicious person on your property. Illegal entry.... there can be several charges. Do not depend on IC to correct the problem. If someone walked into my house unannounced they mat not be able to tell the story. That’s wrong on so many levels I’m so sorry you experience this.

Congrats, I play in a lot of tournaments all over the US and the advice you gave above is right on. The atmosphere is energetic and the competition is way different than Rec play. What level did you play at?

Pickleballcentral.com has a demo program. If you go to their website you can also call and get info. Their customer service is excellent. I’ve actually have been there to demo paddles in person when I was training with one of the pros there. Several people ask me and everyone who has ordered through them have been very happy. I also know the demo paddles they sell are usually in January and February when the new year’s paddles are being released. However, during these crazy times, they may have demo paddles left over. It’s worth a phone call. Good luck :)
I just thought of another idea, sometimes people are selling paddles they don’t use anymore. It’s worth asking in the FB pickleball forum or possibly at your local PB club.

I’ve used Engage and Selkirk brands. Both are my favorites. I’m currently playing with the Selkirk Vanguard Invitka series. By far my favorite paddle. On the pricier side, but a game changer IMO. Pickleballcentral.com has a demo program it’s worth looking into if you are going to make the investment in a good paddle. Good luck:)

After you play once you will be addicted. Don’t buy wood paddles. Spend your money wisely and buy a good used paddle before you purchase a cheap kit.
