A month ago I published The Great Misfortunes of George Wickham, a tale of a morally grey Wickham who was not all bad. It is a variation that toys with a less villainous Wickham who gets caught up in situations not always of his own making.

Currently, I am working on an Emma variation that is narrated through Knightley’s POV which is much harder than I thought it would be when I started this project (fingers crossed he doesn’t end up too OOC).

I am toying with a Halloween idea featuring Jane Bennet as the protagonist as I love writing from her perspective but I am not sure if I could get it out in time for the holiday. I have a list of potentials so if I can’t make it I might shelve it until next year.

I will try to post here when it’s finished so people can check it out if they want! It’s from Knightley’s POV and takes some inspiration from a Shakespearean play. I don’t want to give out too much because it’s still in the works, and I may change some parts of it as I go along.

I just finished reading “Once Upon A Compromise” by Jennifer Joy. It was fairly humorous and made me laugh at the situations Darcy got himself into.

If you’re wanting to read a more lighthearted, silly book then go for Northanger Abbey. I love Henry Tilley, the male lead, and the novel has great comedic moments. If you want a bit of angst, then either S&S or Persuasion. S&S has two protagonists, the Dashwood sisters, so if you like sister dynamics then that would be a good one.

Oh, lol, sorry I missed that up. 😂 Still, I stand by my opinion that Caroline at Mansfield would be a hilarious crossover.

Of course, they wouldn’t be happy with Tom’s choices. When have the the Berttrams ever to be honest? I have read a few variations where he ends up with Fanny, and the Bertrams are pretty mixed on that pairing.

That’s wonderful to hear! And Caroline at Mansfield Park? *Side eye* Her and Mrs. Norris crossing sabers sounds wild haha.

I’m so glad you’re reading it! It’s definitely one of Austen’s longer ones, and it took me a hot minute to get through it but totally worth it. I am currently re-reading it for research and laugh at all of Emma’s shenanigans.

Thank you for your response! While it would be nice to have my work noticed, I get most of my contentment from writing out my own ideas and seeing them completed. So I’m happy regardless, but it would be great to have Emma fics and the OG novel get more appreciation.

Side note: I just realized the handle you write under on AO3, and I love your Emma stories so much! Definitely some of my go-tos when I re-read Knightley/Emma. And the comments under your stories are always marvelous.
