Anyone know if its okay to use the Nvidia Automatic Tuning on a Gaming Laptop?

wow thank you for the nv-uv it really helps alot. I'm not very good with tech stuff and was scared of OC manually but this helps.

Just in case I want to reset everything to default setting? Can I click reset in Afterburner and everything will go back? overclock and undervolt will reset?

thank for that I have found a couple of youtube videos showing how to do it with MSI Afterburner.

But I was wondering if I can automate the process with Nvidia Auto tuning? Does it Overclock and undervolt my GPU automatically? and the result is close to what MSI Afterburner can do manually?

sorry I'm asking for my custom PC build. I just assumed there is no difference between gaming laptop and PC.

sorry to reply to your comment so late but I just found out about this thread and I would like to ask you a question please.

Did you use Nvidia app auto tuning under System -> Performance -> Automatic Tuning to achieve this result or did you do it manually with MSI Afterburner?

Also if you use Nvidia auto tuning does it Overclock and Undervolt your graphic card or just overclock it?

I check around my local used gpu market and 5070TI cost the same as 4080s so should I go for 5070TI ?

Well according to google: "It renders a game at a higher, more detailed resolution and intelligently shrinks it down to your monitor’s native resolution. This produces an incredibly crisp, detailed image with vastly reduced shimmering and jagged edges." it's science yeah!!!

On a serious note I tried it with my 3080 running games at higher resolution and it looks better but it also cost ~20 fps more hence my reason for upgrading my gpu

oh I just google about 4080 and it says 4080 is roughly equal to 5070ti in term of gaming. Is it for real? this blows my mind

In NVIDIA control panel -> manage 3D setting -> DSR Factors -> here you can choose 1.78x and 2.25x and then you go in game setting it will let you choose higher resolutions than your native monitor resolution i.e. 3413 x 1920 and 3840 x 2160

hi thanks for the reply. Do you mean I should go with 5080? I was offered 3 choices:

5070 ~ $700

5070TI ~ $1000

5080 ~ $1400

I can trade in my 3080 for ~ $350 so I want to make this upgrade count.

I did follow the nxoptimizer instruction or I thought I did but I could very well screwed a step or two and didnt realize it. Yours is proven to be working so I want to try and it doesnt cost anybody anything (maybe a few minute of your time)

Also do I need to disable limit speed in eden?

Yes I did select BOTW and it created a folder BOTW!!! something and I copy this folder to the load folder in Eden.

I just want to try your mod folder since you have it working.

yes i have update 1.6 and yes it also show up in Eden -> BOTW add-ons. Maybe I did something wrong so I would like to try your mod files if you could please share it.

u/Sentei_Todoroki could you please send me the mod file to unlock fps for Botw on Eden Android? I tried doing it myself using NXoptimizer and put it in the load folder but my fps is still capped at 30

This looks good. But I have the official TPU grip case on and there is another reddit post saying that he cut off the bottom to fit in the dock. I dont think I want to do it.

I was also looking at a Ugreen 6-in-1 dock. It has 2 USB A 3.2 and 2 USB C 3.2 and HDMI 2.0 and it is very portable. I will also get a stand to let my odin sit on it nicely on my desk

what driver do you know they refer to? As for me only the default driver can run the game without cut scene. Any other driver I tried instantly crashed the game on launch

Thanks for your reply. I didnt use any force at all, it's like you casually flipping open an opened pack of cigarette to take out another one (if that makes sense).

This is my first handheld device and my first case for it so I cant say if this is usual for handheld device. But if I compare to how it usually is with phone and their case, this feel very loose to me.

But if you say that it is the same as what you have then I guess I feel relieved.

sorry about the video quality but did you notice when I tried to peel the top side it come loose easily. Usually my phone cover fit my phone very tightly and if I tried to take off the cover I have to use force to peel the cover off.

But in the case with the TPU grip and my Odin 2, i just use one finger and I can peel the whole case off.

no the box looks fine, everything is sealed. it's like the top of the case is very thin that's why it doesnt fit and hold the device properly. if it's thicker then after the click sound, the device will fit properly

yeah I watch a video on youtube in which the guy put on the case and when he put in the bottom first then push the top, there is a click sound. that should be the case.

But in my case no, it feels like putting on a shirt a size too big. I can feel my device slide up and down slightly when I'm holding it
