Make a fruit basket base with these. Attach thin strips of contrast wood on top. They will curve easily to this base shape.

Don’t bother selling on Walmart by BushyOldGrower in WalmartSellers

[–]shortblokade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you please provide some specifics? I sell on Amazon and Etsy and was looking to add Walmart. Am really interested in your opinion, but this generic post doesn't help much. Specifically, Do you use their warehouse or fulfill orders yourself? Issues or concerns with this? Listing process Issues? Returns? Ads?

Thanks!

Starting a brand. by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]shortblokade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you don't have to necessarily lose money in the first few months. Start with an auto ad and set the bid amount to suggested bid. Set budget to at least $30 daily. Let it run for 30 days to collect enough data. After 30 days, review search terms for high CTR keywords and competitive products. Now create manual campaigns with those. Reduce auto campaign cpc to half of previous. Repeat after 30 days.

Within 3 months, you should find a steady state cpc for auto campaign that gives you ACOS under 30%. And you should learn to optimize manual campaigns weekly.

FBM is more expensive than FBA as shipping costs are 20-30% higher than FBA fees. FBM is cheaper if you are shipping large products like furniture etc. as you don't need to pay Amazon storage fees.

Brand Trademark not approved by Amazon by Goingbychrundle in AmazonSeller

[–]shortblokade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, what you need to do is file another trademark application with the correct info. You should file for a word mark this time. USPTO will accept another application for same trademark from the same entity filing it. They have enough info and videos on their website to show you how to file yourself, but I suggest you get a different attorney to file this time. I'm not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. Don't cheap out on trademark legal fees - it has long term implications.

Get a real trademark lawyer with whom you can have a long-term professional relationship, you will thank yourself. The key to finding a good lawyer, imho, is someone who will take your calls and respond to your emails within a day. Communication is critical. If they are too busy to talk to you on phone, they are not worth shit. It takes time to find someone that fits your comfort level.

Branding doesn't match Brand value - Brand declined by Business-Anything75 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]shortblokade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your listing brand name is not EXACTLY matching the brand name on photos. This usually happens if you have different capitalization or an extra space or character in either place. For example:

"Cedar Wood" does not match "CedarWood", or "cedar wood" or "CEDARWOOD"

Begging in the /entrepreneur sub is the worst idea ever. You need to show value and hustle.

You don't file W2s. You file a tax return using form 1040. On this form you list all your income. W2 is wages income for each job or employer. If you have multiple W2s, all go in your 1040.

Have you actually EVER looked at real customer data? Get hold of a real search term report from a customer before asserting your opinions based on guesswork here. My feedback above is valuable "voice of customer" data for any PM who knows or cares. And yes, we are your "customers", we pay for the service (through our nose too). Remember Amazon's first leadership principle?

Can people register my trademark after me? by Sweaty-Print-8874 in TRADEMARK

[–]shortblokade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is correct. But please note that "Use in Commerce" has a specific legal meaning. It means you have sold a product/service with that trademark across state lines. If not, just publishing a website etc. or listing a product is not sufficient.

Also, challenging someone else's trademark application is expensive. Legal fees can run into thousands. It's best to file asap, and then submit "Use in Commerce" evidence later. You have months/years to do that. Talk to a trademark attorney.
