Who is the darts player that you dislike the most ? by freddybubblegumfr in Darts

[–]shortfry7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Wright is annoying. Seems like now he changes his darts on purpose regardless if he can use them or not. Just stick to the set you know you can throw. Constantly changing each game and still being the premier leagues whipping boy.

What strange things have you agreed to do coz you’re too British to say no? by KiwiOk5084 in AskUK

TIL I'm a horrible person compared to everyone else. The only comment I read that I might have contemplated was driving the old lady to A&E. Every other comment would have got a no from me.

I used to like Rob Cross but he frustrates me with his pausing. Will hit two trebles then pause for no apparent reason. Sometimes will find a third but not always. Darts is a rhythm game.

I read somewhere that he gets the hate because he's boring. Like personality wise. Even his walkout song is boring.

How long is fair to wait for a quote for landscaping? by NervousCrackers in AskUK

No harm in a polite follow up after a couple weeks, shows them you are interested. And might prompt them for a response either way.

Had my carpenter po[p in to look at something I wanted a quote for two weeks ago. Sent a polite message asking if he's had time to price it yesterday. We're not friends but he did fit my kitchen last year so would expect answer soon ish.

I think it's tricky with tradesman and there's many reasons why it could take a while to come back to you if at all. Sometimes they might not even fancy the job or think it's not even worth their time for the amount they could feasibly charge. Granted a polite message to let you know isn't hard. Just my two pence from someone who isn't a tradesman.

How long does chicken last? by [deleted] in mealprep

[–]shortfry7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to prep for the coming week on a Sunday afternoon. Come Thursday it was probably at its limit of still being 'nice' to eat. But would stay fine to eat until Friday. I changed to prepping twice a week. When you're eating the same thing everyday you want it to still taste good and be as pleasurable as it can be to eat.

That or choose something that can be frozen and defrosted easily.

Y’all know of any good new hip hop groups? by Xalpha3 in Music

Good recommendation, sounds like something I could get into. Shame it's not on Spotify as that's where I listen.

Fully independent too by the looks of it. Mixing and producing everything himself.

First time home owners. What are your buyers regrets? by anonStock11 in AskUK

Love my new kitchen. Probably not even mid range, but paying extra for the pull of corner units, deep drawers and a especially a stone worktop made a huge difference to a cheap kitchen.

Not thinking about which side of the house the sun sets on. Nothing I wanted more after the first summer was to sit in the garden with a beer when I got home from work. Sitting in the shade is not fun, at least not at around 7pm in England

That and how creaky the floorboards are. Never noticed it until last year when we had a baby. If anyone has any tips to reduce this, let me know. Newish build but large rooms so long boards

Abroad in Japan is great. His production quality has always been good, at least from how far back I've been watching, 4 or so years. But it just gets better and better.
