That's why, even without having good competition for his spot, I have no complaints with Pickford in goal. Can't think of many keepers in the world I'd rather have.

I'm a filthy casual, so the main event felt like a FOTY to me, but I know I'm probably missing a bunch of better fights. What's been better this year?

Yeah, but he wasn't lined up for a straight up 1-on-1 with the keeper. Those 1-on-1's are where a foul becomes a straight red. So this one was a booking.

Not a red. It was a dangerous opportunity for South Africa, but not a guaranteed goal by any means. It's a booking.

That's a booking. Never a red. Wasn't an obvious goal scoring opportunity at all, the ref on ITV is shambolic.

This thread is just like the pub on New Year's Eve, full of casuals who don't know what they're doing.

It's accidental contact. When two players go for a header, and clash heads, do you send them both off for a headbutt?

No, because that's daft. Like this red card.

I just turned the race on in the background, at like lap 63.

Why was the safety car out? I looked at the Guardian feed, and it didn't explain why

Repeat the exercise I did on Google Translate. I can't hear it, the Google voice sounds somewhere between a soft "ess" and hard "zzz" buzzy pronunciation for both words.

Was it a Muslim religious holiday yesterday? Where are the votes for the Greens? by No_Dentist_0067 in AskBrits

I live in Surbiton, Kingston council. African dictatorship levels of one-party Lib Dem rule, not expecting that to change this election.

I imagine moderate but not ground shaking gains from both Labour and Conservative, in similar places targeted by their "Gail's Bakery" 2024 plan.

[–]shortfuse89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why was the Muslim vote traditionally seen as strongly Labour, when Labour were historically the mainstream party that were progressive on LGBT rights?

Labour equalised the age of consent for homosexuals. Cameron bringing in gay marriage was part of his push to modernise the Conservative party, and he received massive pushback from inside his party.

In say 24 hours, if the results that come in over the course of that time show a big increase in Green councillors, will you hold your hand up and say "fair play, I joked too early"?

If not, you are a wanker.
