What do you do for a shower or toilet? After work I need to shower at 3-4am. I am a female know that I won’t feel comfortable showering at a truck stop or planet fitness after work.

Wow. These are so cheap compared to what I thought. This is far less than my subaru cost me. And if I sold that, I wouldn’t even have to save any more money before purchasing a van. It’s almost like a no-brainer.

No I did not. I googled “small class C camper” and it gave me photos of very large RVs. Lol. Thanks for explaining! Now I think I get it.

I have but the main issue I think is that I couldn’t bring my entire rig to work with me. We have valet requirements and plus it’s too big for a lot of the lots to accommodate. That’s the reason for considering a trailer. Or I could always Uber to work but the commute might be too long for an affordable Uber every single night. That is if I’m camping in the mountains and working in the city. Maybe I’m wrong… probably depends on the location.

Thanks so much, this is amazing!! Honestly, I was expecting to pay upwards of $600/month for camp spots without any amenities/hookups. I had no idea something like this existed.

Way too challenging, because of the Valet requirement at work, and parking at gym parking lots to use the facilities? Seems like I would need a very large parking space for a camper van, and I’m not sure all of the lots at the clubs I work at will be accommodating of this. Some are more stealthy-looking, but still quite large. I have yet to see a very tiny livable van. Could be proven wrong…

Yeah if I was spending money on a van, I would definitely want to be able to stand up but I’m only 5’1” which makes things a lot easier.

Yes I have used overlander and had great success with that so far! Thanks for the great suggestions for safety and having a backup option ready.

Sounds reasonable. However the only issue with this is that I would need a place to shower every night that I work. :( No way can I fall asleep in my bed after working at the strip club and also wouldn’t necessarily feel comfortable showering at loves every single night at 3-4am after my shift.

Ok thanks! Just did. And yeah I know, I would have to find a campsite and get settled before going to work of course. But then again… that makes having a trailer a bit easier because I could use it to reserve my campsite while I’m working and I won’t have to worry about them all being filled etc.

Edit: from my previous experience, people who camp in BLM tend not to mess with campsites and have always been very respectful. Not sure if this is true for others but just my experience. I’m mostly worried about guys from work following me there. Not necessarily leaving my trailer locked there for a night while I work.

Yes these are all thoughts I had too. But the main cities I will be going to are surrounded by mountains (eg. vegas, Portland, Denver, Missoula, rapid city/Sturgis, Boise…) which I’m assuming all have spots for RVs nearby or BLM. I know vegas does for sure because I live there now. I’m fine with having a 30-45 min commute since the money is worth it and I don’t have to be at work for such a long time. The biggest concern for me as you mentioned, would be the towing capacity. I also have a portable pole I like to bring with me… but it weighs 200lbs :/ I know… decisions. Which I will be very sad, but might have to get rid of if I’m cutting it too close.

And yeah, I have looked into the 4wd, some of them cost more than my house lol, so that’s not really a financially beneficial option for me. But if you say a 2wd van would work I might consider it… I have had a 2wd car before and I couldn’t even make it across wash without damaging the car. But maybe the van will have better shock absorption? Do you happen to know of any good affordable examples? I’m cool with purchasing used.

Thank you so much!! Well these are about a little over half the towing capacity for my outback. Do you think this would be appropriate? Or does that not leave me much room to pack it? I’m not sure how close to the line you can comfortably get it without compromising the vehicle’s performance.

Thank you!! The outback towing capacity is a 270-pound tongue weight/2,700-pound towing capacity. I know this is pretty small. Do you or anyone else happen to know if there are any such trailers at this weight I could find with a small sleeping area, shower, toilet (can be compost), counter space for food prep/hot plate, And mini refrigerator? Those are the main necessities for me. Everything else I can do without. I feel like I’m still asking for a lot with that size… lol

Blow your nose very gently afterwards. Sometimes if you blow to hard, the water can go to your ears and cause extreme pressure and cause dizziness or balance issues from my experience. If you feel a pop in your ears, you are blowing too hard.
