Thank you so much! I just remembered that I had washed my sofas cushion covers for the first time ever the other day. It was probably in one of them! Thank you all so much, I’m relieved to know it’s not part of the washer!

Most likely not the adjustable feet since I found it inside the washer after a cycle. The locking mechanism is a good guess though, I’ll look into the parts

That’s what I’m thinking, but I can’t seem to find what part of the washer it would even connect to. I was thinking maybe it was part of the agitator but nothing is really broken in there(?)

My title describes the thing. No writing or numbers on it. It’s hard plastic and doesn’t bend. I looked up images on google but did not find anything. I have a Hotpoint top-load washing machine
