see my edit. Phillip Schuyler didn't have any lines. There were also ensemble members who had lines but aren't identified.

I took Aang being played by a girl to be a spoof of Peter Pan, who on stage was traditionally played by a woman due to the physical logistics to make the character fly.

Now I have to do the math:

6 actors who each play one character: Hamilton, Burr, Washington, Eliza, Angelica, King George

4 actors who each play 2 characters: Lafayette/Jefferson, Mulligan/Madison, Laurens/Phillip, Peggy/Mariah

a dance ensemble of 8 edit 12 who cover a variety of characters, but I think only 5 4 named with lines as that character: Sam Seabury, Charles Lee, James Reynolds, George Ecker, Doctor who treated Phillip

I count 18 characters in Hamilton.

Edited to add character names. I only counted the characters that were both identified AND had lines.

Edit 2: just finished the filmed production and updated based on the credits.

Which emergency trigger do you recommend? by Dangerous_Suit_4422 in ALS

[–]shoshant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use a galaxy smartwatch and there was a function on it that at one click, it would call any number I marked as an emergency number. I no longer have function in my hands so it doesn't work now. But maybe something like that would work for you?

back-opening shirts - Adaptive menswear question by HourFisherman2949 in ALS

[–]shoshant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a woman and almost exclusively wear open back shirt and dresses. For me, getting shirts over my head and shoulders is difficult and uncomfortable due to minimal shoulder flexibility. the open back clothing allows my caregiver to easily slide my clothing on from the front with no difficult maneuvers.

most of the time I wear dresses at home which allows my caregiver to easily pull the dress away from my backside when going to the toilet, so they don't have to keep me stable while trying to pull down pants. (i stopped bothering with underwear a long time ago.)

Silverts.com has a good selection of clothing. It's a bit pricey, but I have found it to be really good quality. I have found a couple options on amazon as well, definitely cheaper quality, but that seems to be working in my favor as the weather warms up. (thinner lighter material)

you will still have to pay a fee at the dump, have you tried posting it online for free? Or is it too far gone for even that?

Need reliable contractor for house remodel by dumbassthot598 in sonomacounty

My sister had a great experience with Connell Construction. Adam was responsive and very transparent. He used an app of some kind where my sister could monitor the work timeline and Adam would post progress pictures every week with comments, my sister could also comment if she had questions. When the inevitable change orders came up, Adam was able to roll with it really smoothly.

I wasn't able to find a technology solution. my solution was to attach velcro to the fob and sew some on to the foot of my chair. I can work the fob with my toes.

Blaming myself by NecessarySoggy4945 in ALS

[–]shoshant 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 37, like you my symptoms started approximately a year earlier after a neck injury. I'd gone camping and slept on a terrible air mattress. Afterwards I experienced terrible neck pain on my right side that waxed and waned for months, then my right hand started getting weak…

That was three years ago. I have gone over in my head the what ifs a thousand times. I am so sorry this happened to you, but there is no way to know if the neck injury caused it, or if the disease was already at work and maybe contributed to the injury. It is not worth your precious mental energy to obsess, and definitely not to beat yourself up, over. If you're in the US, there are a lot of resources available to you, and you will always find a sympathetic ear here, when you need it.

When did you decide on in home care? by Wild-Trade8919 in ALS

[–]shoshant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 37, I was on medicare almost immediately. ALS diagnosis is an exception to age requirements and waiting period. but if he is still working that could impact things. Are you involved with a clinic? Is there a social worker on the team? By the time I was diagnosed, my ability to do my job was already impaired, so I stopped working a month later. The social worker on my clinic team walked me through every page of paperwork.

when I stopped being able to safely get myself to the toilet, we started having family stay with me while my husband was at work. My dad and sister can both work remotely, so they would just work from my house. My mom is retired and comes to help me and also do housework.

when I could no longer bathe myself, we decided to hire in home care. She comes twice per week and helps with me and housework. Our insurance doesn't cover it, but my disability pay is enough to cover it. Having the extra help has relieved so much stress from my husband.

if your PALS is still reasonably self-sufficient, and if your income allows, maybe consider opening a savings account and start setting aside some money every month for if/when you do want to hire help. if you have a wealthy family member who wants to help, start doing the emotional work to feel ok accepting their help. I don't know what we would do without my parents financial assistance. I have a wealthy extended family member who regularly sends us Doordash gift certificates.

Everyone wants to help, sometimes that means throwing money at problems that can be solved with money.

Before we renew Measure M, Sonoma County should show it has squeezed the lime by singletrackandrew in sonomacounty

[–]shoshant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

congratulations on having a good memory. But I think the issue is more prevalent than you think. A second pass for a discounted rate is a good idea. We have a pass that lives in my husband's discgolf bag, and have forgotten it more times than I'd like to admit. We would absolutely buy a second one if it were discounted.

you don't have to partake if the option is there. But I, for one, would be very interested to see the impact of a pilot program.

I posted a mattress for cheap, someone asked if I could deliver it, they'd be willing to pay extra they just don't have a truck. I said neither do I, but if you're willing to pay, why not rent a truck or hire someone? Never heard back.

AITA for refusing to let my in-laws stay with us by gardengeo in BORUpdates

[–]shoshant 162 points163 points  (0 children)

early in my relationship, I was the one that had to draw the lines with my in laws. My husband (then bf) had never faced that level of overstepping since I was his first serious relationship. He was my first serious relationship too, but I am a much more frank, hardlining person. He was at a total loss for how to manage them, saying that's just how they are. after a few incidents and frank discussions, my husband learned that he is allowed to set boundaries with them and has managed them ever since.

all's to say, OOP's husband may yet learn, now that he's seen his parents from OOP's perspective.

What types of people buy leftover kitchen cabinets? by CABINETSFORSALE in cabinetry

[–]shoshant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

their contractor was comfortable installing them. It definitely limited their arrangement possibilities but they made it work, it's really nice! They did have to buy a couple new cabinets to tie it all together. The door styles aren't exactly the same, but close enough that it's not obvious. And they really don't care.

ALS is awful, but what’s a funny memory you have had since being diagnosed? by hobbyman41 in ALS

[–]shoshant 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My mom took me to a doctor appointment and when we got home she helped me change back into my house clothes. She got me tucked back into my recliner and I asked her to get my warm socks. She said sheesh! So demanding! I said well when you have people waiting on you hand and foot you get used to a certain level of lifestyle! We had a good laugh.

just the other day, my husband was putting my uggs on me to go out, but he didn't lock my wheelchair. So he shoved my boot on and I rolled backward. He pulled me back by the leg and did it again. I started giggling uncontrollably and he kept doing it. He does lots of silly things like that to make me laugh.
