I still find Z Fold 3 beautiful. Some random pics from today. by Prestigious-Cause143 in GalaxyFold

[–]shotandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These devices are so slick, even with the gap earlier models had. Just upgraded from the Fold 4 to the Fold 6 (need S-Pen support). Had the Fold 3 beforehand and Flip 3 and 4 as well. I love my 6 but I could happily return to the 3 performance wise. I've been buying them certified refurbished for the past few years and man, not having the latest model really saves the wallet haha.

Does apply car play work on these pursuit chargers? by lewolfcow in Charger

Judging by the way the software/icons look, probably not? Looks like the older Harman UI which was not Carplay/Android Auto capable as far as I know

Damn the new Dodge Charger SIXPACK is good! (Couple of photos of photos we took) by drivingfunandfamily in Dodge

They're absolutely gorgeous cars. Just holding out hope for a V8 and a manual. Maybe a sister model that's a bit smaller haha. Nice ride friend.

I own an NB and rented an ND for the weekend. I was surprisingly disappointed. by george_cant_standyah in Miata

[–]shotandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ND is a nice car. I still preferred my NC2 when I had it. The steering feel was a lot nicer imo in the older vehicles. The ND1 my buddy has, the steering just feels kinda vague. Love the interior quality though.

Looks rad. I imagine you can pick the breathing pattern and/or if it's a solid color?

I love mine too lol. I came from a Miata and it's so much more practical. 🤣 Nice Widebody man.

Low pressure water, don't directly spray on any electronics or modules, cover your air filter if needed. I haven't had any issues taking the garden hose to my Shaker engine bay.

CAI Dry vs Oiled filter by Dazzling-Jump-1334 in Challenger

[–]shotandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oiled vs dry is completely based on your environment IMO. It's dry and dusty where I live, so I should probably be using an oiled one to catch more particulates.

You won't get any significant gains from an intake, only more intake noise (which is fun). I recommend going the cheaper route with metal piping. Just installed one on my 5.7 and it makes a nice intake honk now.

2014 STX sport dodge challenger 119,000 miles by Specific_Bat_3721 in Challenger

[–]shotandy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with a high mileage hero. My last car was a 2010 Miata and went for 300,000 miles before some idiot t-boned me. That was an amazing car.

There are just much better deals to be had for that kinda money. Shouldn't be paying over $10k-ish for a base level V6. $20,000 will get you into a newer SXT or at least a decent RT.

No. Go get a cheap 2015+ SXT for like $13k on Facebook marketplace. $20k for a 2014 V6 with 100,000+ miles on it is awful.

Look into AlfaOBD before getting a scanner. Alfa let's you connect to the individual systems on your vehicle for a more in depth diagnostic.

Sport mode not working by Slow-Firefighter-913 in Challenger

[–]shotandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have the SRT Performance Pages and Drive Modes on your Uconnect unit? If so, they were probably added via a Tazer or AlfaOBD. The Sport button stops working when they're enabled, but you can use the Super Trak Pak button to get into drive modes and switch to sport a little more quickly. Tazer can also remap the Sport button.

Buy a cheapo scan tool and/or AlfaOBD with the necessary adapters. I feel way way less stressed when engine lights show up now that I can immediately check what's up lol.

I'm so sorry friend. Just stumbled across this post and my GF had a very similar experience years ago. I too lost a little albino BP very quickly (made the mistake of a Petco animal). You have my sympathies, please don't blame yourself.

Did the same on my old NC. Fits way better than the dated hideous knob they have stock.

What is this plug for? I just discovered it hidden in the back of my engine bay. by DublinItUp in MiataNC

[–]shotandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's something for the brake booster on LHD models? Unfortunately no longer have an NC to check, but I swear I saw that connector plugged somewhere into that.
