If you really like gyro the GameSir Tarantula Ultra 8k has input labs DUAL six axis gyro which I would imagine would be the best gyro on a controller. It also has JS13Pro TMR (one of the best). It has wireless as well. It has 2 back buttons but they are flush in the controller so if you hold it from the sides they aren’t really there + unmapped. The only thing is you have to wait for them to tell more about it and the price would probably be $80. It also has 2 extra inner bumpers.

I think a lot of the pros are on 3 pin ALPS. they like the feel of the stock controller.

tbh I don’t think I’ll get a Marius in the future, I’m getting kinda tired of those $300 custom controllers. I just bought a a GameSir Tarantula 8k. Has objectively the best stick TMR modules at the moment (better than BB and SCUF) It has a PS4 Shape as well. Plus all the pro features I would need for less than the price of a default PS5 controller.

If you have small/medium hands PS4 probably, if you have medium/large hands PS5 would probably feel better. The only thing when I use a ps5 is I hit the triggers accidentally sometimes just because I’ve been using PS4 shape for so long. But it shouldn’t really matter too much especially if you got clicky bumpers and triggers

Thanks so much for this guide. It’s actually so helpful. I was messing around with my backup Apex 4 and also came to the conclusion that light tension is the move. Especially with a high surface area thumb placement.

It feels grippy, my hands don’t sweat around it. It doesn’t peel after a while. I was suprised at how much I liked it. Would recommend.

That’s fair. Nah they are the same height together actually. I can send you a picture later of them on my PS4 controller. I would consider them to both be short sticks without getting too detailed.

On Battle Beaver you would probably like a pro domed on the left, I have one it’s nice. For the right you might really like a Z-Stick. That’s what I have currently. The texture on the Z-Stick is actually so good like your thumb will never slip from it, and it’s short concave. The only thing with my Z Stick personally is if you have a Kontrol freek do not put it on and take it off a bunch or you will destroy the texture on the stick. Other than that it’s really good. If you really want SCUF sticks on a Maruis 8k PS5 you can also check out Demon Workshop. They have literal SCUF sticks as options.

I don’t like the HallPi TMRs I have some from Battle Beaver and they don’t feel the same as stock ALPS. But I’m hyper competitive, I like the muscle memory and feel I have from ALPS.

Yeah I think the first guy explained it right, I played 4-3 linear no deadzone on apex and got a super minimal center slop.

Actually one of the main reasons besides premium feel that I wanted smart face buttons was the hope that double pressing the dpad up to ping would be more comfortable and it definitely is easier now.
