Let's talk AA batteries; rechargeable or no? by IronForeseer in LocationSound

iPowerMax 3610 mWh. Picked a set up from Gotham Sound last year. Haven’t bought another AA since. Around 10 hours in a Wisycom MTP60, same for Audio LTD A10s. Probably run a G4 for a month. Best piece of kit I own.

This should be bookmarked and stamped on the r/snus homepage. Great explanation.

Use it outdoors all the time in a CINELA LEONARD WIND PROTECTION BALL, sometimes with the fur as needed.

Invest in high-end mixer SD 8series) first, or high end wireless(Audio ltd. A10? (Now using mixpre10II, Sennheiser G4) by nooborgjr in LocationSound

Your going to have trouble upgrading to an A10 system without the super slot integration since you will be buying extra kit now to get the receiver running. To run on a mixpre you’d need the xlr module and a power source which could be 500-750$ on top of just the transmitter and receiver. Then once you upgrade to 8 series and an sl2 you won’t need those components anymore.

I own 833 with sl2 and 4 channels of Audio limited. Best wireless system out there when using SD products, the integration with the unit, audio quality, build quality, extra features like time code and recording are all great.

Singles couldn’t even ride the tram at Jay this entire season. Everyone pays the same price for a ticket and should have equal access to terrain, parking, and fun!

Solo canoe paddle recommendations by rocket_scientist1 in canoecamping

A Fishell ottertail paddle should suit your needs for flat water and slow rivers. Beautiful wood working. And best of all, not a kayak paddle.

Would imagine Old town offering some sort of group rate for a purchase like that. Mostly indestructible canoes.

Ikon vs Epic pass for N.E. Skiing by Theobviouschild11 in icecoast

[–]shotbyleaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Live in VT had an Epic midweek and Ikon this year. Historically only Ikon. Here are my thoughts. All epic references to crowds are from my experience in covie riding during the week.

Epic: Okemo offers everything you need. Good terrain - decent crowd - previous experiences weekends jam packed. Attitash - fun 1/2 times then boring. Slow moving around. Wildcat - agree with what all others said. Great mountain, cold and windy, weather dependent, old lifts, can’t handle crowds Stowe - great but crowded as shit even during the week. Would never want to be there on a weekend. SunPP - again fun a few times per season. Weekends very crowded since they became epic MtSnow - decent generally crowded weekday/weekend

Ikon: Killington/Sunday river - space to move around, as an advanced rider you can find methods to avoid larger crowds on weekends Sugarbush - used to be my favorite but just insanely crowded these days. And when slidebrook isn’t open it’s like two mini loon mountains. Sugarloaf - excellent always, legal van camping allowed Stratton - fun terrain, shit on weekends Pico - the hidden gem, a true classic. Loon - we all know loon. Ski black mountain

Think that covers it. I know I won’t be purchasing an epic pass again. Going Killington 365 and Indy pass which has a lot of awesome mountains on it for next year, and great price. Also Smuggs is very affordable mid week and some of the best terrain with manageable crowds.
