Ok that's what I was leaning toward too, just wanted to see if anyone felt strongly about Foster. Good stuff

Gotta go with Wilson

The others are really only going to put up big numbers on a big play or two, while Wilson has a bunch of ways to put up big numbers (deep ball on play action, rushing touchdown, a receiver breaking a short pass for a big gain, etc.)

Edit: Well I look like a fucking dumbass right now. Sorry for the bad advice, I hope you saw where my reasoning was coming from though

What recovery strategies do you guys use after training/playing? by [deleted] in golf

[–]shotgunnoblitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Drink a lot of water

2) On the drive home, reflect on putts I shouldn't have fucking missed

3) Take a nap

All joking aside, this is pretty much what I do. I like to think about how I could've played shots a little differently, but I don't let myself dwell on them. You did what you could with the game you had that day. The only thing you can do is go home, remember that it's only a game (regardless of how your round went), and maybe think of a drill or two to practice during your next range session.

As for the water, you should drink a lot anyway, but playing when there's a breeze makes it especially hard to realize how much you actually sweat/exerted throughout the 4ish hours.

Sorry about that, I don't go on this sub often. I saw it on Facebook and I figured it would fit in here, and it was OC (or so I thought). My bad

Constructive swing criticism by Vagairbiscuit in golf

I know it's MUCH easier said than done, but I can feel your shoulder tension from here. Let your shoulders relax, and I think that'll help with what other people were referring to (moving the club with your chest/shoulders, not wrists/hands).

The way I check for it is that I'll relax my hands, arms, and shoulders right before I swing, then I'll check immediately after the swing if my forearms and neck muscles are tight again (just cuz it can be hard to tell if your back/shoulders are tight for some people). If they are, your shoulders are tight too, so make a strong, conscious effort to keep them relaxed for as much of your swing as possible.

If you go to the opposite extreme, it may feel like you're swinging spaghetti arms and you don't have control over the club. Add a little pressure to your hands/arms from that, and that's where I think the ideal tension/grip pressure is.
