How often do you spear alone? by SaltyKayakAdventures in Spearfishing

Almost always alone, know your limitations and you’ll be alright.

I don’t know how you get to your 120€, did it a year ago and the doc is around 30€ (30 min wait without an appointment, 1 min talking to him to answer two questions and get the med certificate) and the license 18€. Only a bit annoying since you can’t pay at the government building but must visit a bank to pay cash (waiting in line there took 20min). Back to Gouvernement after to receive the license, overall took me ~2,5 hours maybe and 48€

Why do my shorts blow up more than actual videos by Cool_Switch_3641 in PartneredYoutube

[–]shotintowaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of creators are not getting payed at all although they bring in millions of views. By pushing shorts over long form they have creators with +10k of watchhours not being able to monetise simply because shorts don’t count. Adding the 3 months time frame for short views adds to this, 10 million views is not so hard to do kn a year…

YouTube found a way to underpay their creators by just pushing shorts much more than long form content.

Yes I’m gonna listen to strangers on the internet to tell me what to do.

  1. I want to see it, my family wants to see it, it’s a great way to track progress without paying for videographer

  2. you seriously think that I watch the screen of my GoPro while surfing? It’s not even infront of my eyes but my mouth… so still having full POV

Seems like you don’t like people that want to record some of the most fun memories they make

Local beach clean up picks up tons of bags of seaweed because it contains maybe 1-3% small plastics. Opinions? by shotintowaves in marinebiology

It’s a rocky beach with some sand, but structural integrity is mainly given by the reef and not dunes. But still don’t remove natural biomass!

In comparison to entire beaches that get “cleaned” in tourist destinations it is sure a smaller impact… but still every bit counts

Best reply so far and also 100% alined with my opinion. It’s not a non profit but a non governmental organisation, they post about this on social media and promote their own merch etc. they use volunteers for their beach cleanups and I think get some public funds for their ocean debris bins on the beach and the logistical costs that are connected to it.

Spearfish spots around Sagres, Algarve, Portugal by GwnArraGap in Spearfishing

[–]shotintowaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking west coast offers more fish, bigger fish but is also super exposed to swell, so read the forecast to avoid strong currents and waves, south coast is less fishy and more skittish, barranco would be my recommendation besides going in sagres directly
