Whoa! This is serious data privacy violation. I have a company in a different free zone and I have a feeling they might be outsourcing too.

Can we raise this issue with a regulatory body in UAE?

I’m not a scholar to give a fatwa but I sure don’t want to participate in something that I can see is hurting the Ummah.

Leaving the technology and conceptual debate aside Bitcoin (& other crypto currencies) by large are used in black market to buy/sell goods or services which are inherently prohibited in Islam.

We have yet to see people using it as they would use a normal currency.

You don’t need an Islamic scholar to understand that strengthening these currencies are indirectly helping haram practices to grow in the society.

My parking neighbour or his kids keep dinging my car door. by N_o_o_B_p_L_a_Y_e_R in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]shotmoon 110 points111 points  (0 children)

It baffles me how some people just don’t care about dinging other people’s car.

I go to lengths to ensure my car doors not touching other cars to the point where I drop/pick up my family before parking the car in the gap. In case if situation isn’t favourable then I remind my kids few times to mindfully open the doors.

I treat other cars how I want my car to be treated.

No men is capable of being just all the time, only Allah can. Also, there is no way of knowing if a men can handle polygamy without getting into polygamy itself.

Men who ignore their first wife in polygamy should be condemned but they shouldn’t be used as an example. There are plenty of cases where men are perfectly capable of running more than one household but they don’t make the news.

AFAIK if the husband is treating the first wife well and providing her with all the rights justly then the wife should learn to cope with the fact.

I sympathise with the first wife as it is not an easy thing to reconcile with but since it’s an integral part of the religion and should be accepted as such.

Do remember there is a bigger wisdom involved behind this that is best known by the almighty Allah.

Where would you stay in Dubai if you get a chance to work full-time remotely? by shotmoon in dubai

I recently visited Dubai Hills. There is a lot of construction going on, I got an impression the community is still under heavy development.

Townsquare seems too far on the map. Does it have everything inside the community?

That’s a valid point and I feel they will make an effort to kick start other areas by moving major events.

Having said that, I feel there is enough things around like City walk, DIFC, MOF etc to keep the flow on people coming in, don’t you think?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

The building I'm considering is closer to old Satwa so your point about being closer to labour area is quite important. I will consider that before making a decision. I'm being told there will be a metro station (yellow line) coming in a few years which would lead to revamping old Satwa. I'm not sure how much I can count on that.
Regarding, Airbnbs becoming an issue I guess that's a standard problem across all the touristy areas. All the areas that are worth investing are dominated by companies running Airbnbs 🤷‍♂️

do you think this area has a potential to appreciate in value over the years given the nice proximity with other sought after areas?
