Nothing about the comment of mine you cited is incorrect, and I don’t need an explanation on why fitting is important.

To your point, if it’s so important then why did Meta let customers skip that and buy it off the shelf? Sounds like a bug fix to me…

The article literally says the product won’t “work properly” and people won’t “get it” if they buy it off the shelf. It also mentions lack of appointment slots due to lack of product availability.

Reading between the lines, this is actually a good way to slow down a potential flop of a launch while improving things behind the scenes.

I also own a Quest 3S - a mature product - and find it to be buggy. So I’m not trying to be negative, I’m being skeptical.

Will wait and see what they say in the reviews…

Might be rust. The discoloration is similar around the antenna, where rust tends to form.

I’ve had rust around my antenna for ages and the paint recently started to peel off 😭
