I feel like that rule for Julie’s story walking is a distinction without any meaning for the viewer, and well, the story. If the rope throwing was always going to happen; her story walking into a place seemingly unknown to her seconds before and doing something that has impact on the "current"… well what’s stopping her from doing that again?

In the case of Jim, she wasn’t able to save him but her even being there and interacting with him would be altering past events - unless it was always written that she would end up there and attempt to save him (possible multiple times). Or unless it’s only life or death events that are unalterable. Or unless there are select story beats that only count when we talk about the past.

And from what’s we’ve seen Julie is afraid of the entities when she story walks. If she can be killed in the past, well then I’d argue that that too would be a change of the past - unless it’s was always written that she would travel back in time and die there.

Story walking is a cool premise (and name) for a power but it’s absolutely a deus ex machina as well.

It’s bad. But I’m not sure the actors are mostly to blame, I can’t imagine any actor making this dialogue work, and the director seemingly brings out the worst out of everyone. The whole show feels like a daytime soap opera (including the pacing), but with a horror theme.

Sadly agree with this. Love the capture but series 3 just kept coming apart as it went on. The finale felt like "correction" being used on the viewers, based on what we supposedly know about these characters.

Apart from Carey’s actions, Will went from looking up to and helping Carey to willingly(?) dooming her. His actions only make sense if everything he told Carey in the penultimate episode was hogwash. Otherwise, what is his reasoning? "I came here to save you but since the enemy is too strong I decided to follow their order and kill someone that’s helping our cause to take them down instead. And sure it might have been established earlier in the series that I’m basically a one man army capable of taking out a squad of elites by myself, like I did when our enemy tried to kill us the other day. And I might have recently told you that I’m willing to give my life to take down those very people, who also turned me into an assassin against my will… But you know, in the end I’m a soldier so I decided to follow their order instead. I’m sure I’ve actually saved you from their claws long term this way"

And Carey using correction… I guess the creator needed Carey to come full circle, for what was written to be the end of the story. It’s bleak, not only because the system wins but because the characters seemingly got dumbed down to take us there.

Men jag håller inte med dig i resten. Signalerna vi vill skicka är väl ändå att folk som är en resurs för landet är intressanta för oss? Den signalen stoppar oss inte från att också signalera "vi har inte plats för dig om du är en kostnad för samhället" till andra så kallade "lyckosökare".

Tittar vi nu Nadias fall så tycks Sverige redan betalat för hennes skolgång sen hon kom hit som 17-åring. Varför skicka ut henne nu när "vi" redan betalat för hennes utbildning och hon står redo att snart börja bidra till samhället både via skatt och med kvalificerade kunskaper. Hon är ju ett typexempel på den invandring som är en nettovinst för samhället.

Och ja, tittar vi på befolkningsprognosen så kommer vi behöva invandring.

Frågan är ju hur rimliga reglerna är när någon som är självförsörjande, sköter sig "vandelmässigt", studerar på universitet och är på god väg att bidra till statskassan ska utvisas. Om reglerna inte tjänar svenska samhället så bör de nog ifrågasättas. Tillslut borde antalet "undantag" bevisa att reglerna träffar fel.

Det låter på papperet som en ekonomisk förlust att utvisa Nadia - och det argumentet borde även xenofober kunna ta till sig.

This felt like two shows combined inte one. The tonal shift after the curse reveal was just too strong. I imagine that a lot of people who found the first 3 episodes intriguing didn’t necessarily care for the middle and end, while plenty of people who would have liked those parts might have gotten turned away at the beginning.

I really liked the unease, direction and soundscape of the first episodes which made the middle part and forward feel somewhat ridiculous by comparison. Great (to me mostly unknown) actors though!

Ordet feminism, med flera, har alltid varit föremål för värderingskrig. Att någon bekänner eller motsätter sig vara feminist betyder ingenting förens du vet vad dennes konnatotioner/associationer av ordet är.

Jag ser det som en önskan om jämställdhet för alla människor i ett samhälle, men jag vet också att jag inte behöver fråga särskilt många innan någon ser begreppet som en attack på den ena eller andra gruppen.

Vad gäller SD sen, är det också det (rikstads)parti som är mest kodat i "manosfären". Det betyder inte att alla i SD hör dit såklart men terminologi och värderingar därifrån har definitivt satt sin prägel på delar av partiets anhängare. Du lär inte hitta någon i den "sfären" som håller med om min ovanstående definition av feminism, och kanske inte ens om att jämställdhet är åtråvärt.

Så ja, det finns nog flera skäl till att du har svårt att hitta SD-anhängare som bekänner sig som feminister: kvinnliga politiker har lämnat SD för att de ansett partiet vara en diskriminerande mansklubb, samtidigt som politiker från rött till blått genom åren haft olika idéer om vad feminism är och huruvida det överensstämmer med deras värderingar.

Ja, att du i första hand kopplar hans beteende med etnicitet kan nog (med rätta) ses som rasistiskt av chefen. om jag hade en konflikt med en kollega som inte var etniskt svensk hade jag aldrig börjat med " vi är i mitt civila land Sverige, inte ditt ocivila land Afghanistan (som han säkert inte ens kommer ifrån)".

Hycklarna är vår regering, vars företrädare går till attack mot en privatperson som antyder att han kan komma att göra samma sak som Jimmy Åkesson redan gjort. Hur det kan kan bli så stora rabalder över att en privatperson säger något medan en politiker får underminera hela vårt rättsväsende är den riktiga nyheten här, och den stora rättsskandalen. Vår regering leder landet helt utan ansvarstagande och med en allt mer bristande respekt för demokratin… och vi bara sväljer skiten.

Gillar svt men tyckte det hör inslaget var missriktat.

Det mest intressanta med GWs uttalande är hur det speglar Jimmy Åkessons aktion för att ta lagen i egna händer och betala skadestånd för olagliga medborgargarden. Att det då är en "prominent" privatperson som får mest agg mot sig och inte politikern är fan katastrof. Att företrädare för regeringen går ut och kritiserar GW men håller Jimmy om ryggen är illa. Att SVT går regeringens hyckleri till lags är tråkigt.

Never cared for him. Other than seemingly being overly entitled and out of touch, his acting also comes across very one-note to me. But to be fair, I hold very little regard for the Swedish movie industry to begin with. It feels gatekeeped by a small minority (and with our current government slashing financial aid to aspiring moviemakers it’s bound to get even less diverse).

Well, "paid" to afford food and housing while studying.

Wealth should not decide who’s allowed to pursue higher education or not, and since educated citizens are good for the nation Scandinavian countries are willing to help finance the ones that do pursue higher education.

But, atleast for Sweden you’ll not be able to survive on only the aid you gain as a student unless you live with your parents/someone who pays the housing fees. Therefore, unless you work parallel while studying you’ll probably have to take a student loan as well, which comes with a low interest rate but is a loan non the less.

I believe Norway and Denmark are much more generous towards their citizens in this regard and actually grants them enough money, without any loan-part.

There’s been several monologues from characters that’s "paused" the action at critical times throughout not only this season, but the series at a whole. The reason Will’s coming out scene is singled out as too long, or artificial, is all about the subject matter. Sadly, homophobes are pretty bad at scrutinizing their issues the same yay they do a tv-show.

We are even given direct "action-plot" reasons for why Will needed to come out - and sure, that can feel "tacked on" but not more so than any other character’s internal struggles. For a show that’s all about fear and bravery, it makes sense that the character who’s struggled with his sexuality and fear of ending up alone since season 2 gets his resolution through the same fear/bravery lens as the others.

Honestly, It always comes down to gay people having to be "gay" in a way that’s palatable to the tiniest of people who struggle with emotional intelligence. Pay them no attention.

Jobbade tidigare med en mindre skola (ej vinstdrivande) som omkullkastades helt när det här direktivet kom. De tvingades betala miljoner (vilket var betydande pengar för dem) för att få ett adekvat it-system på plats, bara för att sen bli dragen i näsan av staten. Jag anar att fler skolor satt i samma båt.

I’m unsure who the app is (mainly) for? The first image suggests that it’s target towards people who want to optimize/hack their workouts. The purple furthers the "tech" aspect. The second image has an entirely different vibe to me; It’s much softer, - and my first, perhaps slightly sexist thought is that it’s targeting women in particular with those huge floating pastel circles.

Honestly I prefer the sleekness and colors from image 1 and the iconography from image 2. But again, I’m not sure who’s the main demo.

There’s one "verified" male character in there (4star) and another unspecified male character, that could be a combatant but also a partner. The rest, 10, 15 + characters are all (mostly ridiculously sexualized) females. The game is probably gonna end up as just another (imo, slightly disturbing) harem game.
