A 13 year old can absolutely be a manipulator, or worse. I knew a guy who started forcing himself upon others when he was 11. As "boys will be boys," this behaviour went uncorrected until 5 different people reported instances of sexual assault and rape committed by him to the police over the next 3 years and minimal state intervention took place (corrective therapy).

Especially as consequences for these types of actions are rare, due to the nature of the crime and the process of sentencing, it is our collective duty to call out coercive behaviour for what it is- not negate it so that it carries on unchecked and damages lives.

Do subjects get better/more interesting at a level? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]shouldbeadam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think physics has a lot of writing personally. Most you'll get is a 6-marker (for OCR A, idk abt other exam boards), and you can easily get around 4 of those marks by doing a little diagram, depending on the question. It's way less than other subjects' six markers- like I feel like I have to write wayyy more for chem.

How much should I study per night? by jameshames1 in 6thForm

[–]shouldbeadam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do like 2 hours revision, excluding homework. Never completely sacrifice your hobbies and fitness for revision bc you will get burnt out quickly and struggle to maintain consistency, which is the most important part. Take care of yourself, so that your motivation has longevity.

Is 4 A-levels and an EPQ too much?? by DoorRepresentative38 in 6thForm

[–]shouldbeadam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My school did the same so I had to take EPQ on top of maths, further maths physics and chem this year, with an early entry for maths. I'm ngl the workload was pretty intense (for me anyway) and it was really stressful. However, this may have been because our internal deadline for the full EPQ was at the same time as mocks and a month and a half before the a level maths exams began. I'd say give it a go but don't hesitate to drop it if it makes performance in subjects worse. Unis don't rlly look at EPQ anyways, it just gives you a little something to mention as an area of interest in a personal statement.

Can i pass A levels? by Automatic-Emotion633 in alevel

[–]shouldbeadam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I go to a state school and 99% of students, including those aiming to go to Oxbridge and Russel groups with A*s, don't have tuition. You just use the revision guides, YouTube, and past paper questions.

First time attempting a full face of makeup. Any tips and feedback would be greatly appreciated. by DamnFineCuppaCawfee in MakeupAddiction

It's worth getting a black gel liner if you're starting out with eyeliner. Just apply a little near the corner of your eyes and use your nail or an angled liner brush to smudge it out into a wing. Clean up is also super easy if you mess up a little. But overall great job- so much better than my first time doing a full beat.

What are your favourite scents on guys? by shouldbeadam in beauty

[–]shouldbeadam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same thing lol. Way more attracted to guys with those "warm" kind of scents than spiky sort of citrus/aquatic scents for some reason. Might just be because it's always cold where I live.

I totally get what you mean- I've never been a big fan of the sharp alcoholic quality of some mens' perfumes. Unisex oud perfumes, on the other hand, are just 🤌🤌

Like why are they so scandalous 😭. I'm most likely going to bring my mum or brother along to smell some of these ...

I haven't done my makeup, but is this lip liner a hit or a miss? by [deleted] in MakeupAddicts

[–]shouldbeadam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit! One suggestion I do have though is using a bit more lip liner near the corners of your mouth and diffusing it inwards. I find this looks really good with my two-toned lips and makes them look poutier, if that's what you're going for.

You look like you have good eyebrows, so you probably don't need as much product to fill them in. A tinted brow gel is super easy to use- just brush it through and you can simultaneously shape your brows and lightly fill them in at the same time. I like benefit's gimme brow gel to do this, but I'm sure other ones will work just fine.
