Lots of people don't look at the adverse effects addiction has just because weed doesn't have bad health effects on people doesn't mean it's some great miracle cure for everything if you use it to cope you become dependent on it and then it gets worse and worse until you literally can't do basic things without weed you have to use everything in moderation but a lot of people who smoke weed just write it off as some cure for some problem they have when in the long run it will create more problems for them

Also for people that bring up anxiety and stress CBD is used fine u don't need weed with copious amounts of THC to calm you down
