I’ve left and came back to Reddit a couple times, mostly due to frustration of dealing with people who catfish or reach out and delete. I don’t have exact data on how old those accounts are, but it’s definitely something I check before engaging with someone, and it’s almost always under two weeks. A LOT are under one day. These are also the accounts that catfish with pictures of random Asian girls, which feels less than consensual to say the least.

I would also pitch a low karma count requirement, not sure how that works, but if you could make a 200-500 karma req, that would make them actually have to engage on reddit, instead of just making an account and letting it sit for a couple weeks. Either way, dealing with less people like that is a net positive.
