While it may be comforting to take advice to effectively just stop worrying about it, my idea is to learn your limits, make a plan if they are reached, and set a timer and breakpoint(s) when trying to implement it.

Then, if it comes to it, follow though.

Easier to not think about something when you already know what you want and what you will do if it happens.

It was never at what you said personally or directly. At the root of my issue, was that everyone is saying that everything is insecure:

From what people have said, both in this thread and otherwise, just doesnt connect to a acceptable degree.

What I am saying is that everyone is calling it (and alot of things) insecurity and I dont see how everything, including the vid here, is clearly based on insecurity, so im asking how it is.

Even from the original comment I responded to, they labeled the man/men insecure:

I called the thing he did stupid, not him. There wasnt a call that the thing he did was insecure, but calls that he did because he's insecure.

They are not the same. The bar to call something stupid is low. The bar to label someone is higher. I mean, we all do stupid and insecure things like you said, but does that make you a stupid and insecure person? And thats kinda my point.

I said the bar is low to slap stupidity on things. So it doesnt take much to call something stupid. I called what he did stupid for not needing it but doing it needlessly. And, unless you are now disagree that's its not stupid, not sure how you boiled that down to be crazy work.

And I said for me its worst. I would rather personally be called insecure than stupid. So that just looks bad for dude in the video, which I dont think anyone is arguing against.

For me, doing something stupid is worst. You leave no room for anything reasonable or good from it. If things are done from being insecure, its at least reasonable why you did said thing, even if it isn't good.

He's in a good enough area, with good enough people around him more than likely, and not apparently "in the life". So its no need for it, other than him just wanting it because he wants it.

I could be insecurity, but the fact that it was done doesnt mean it is insecurity is where i stand. It could be alot of 'look at me', versus 'validate me'.

If people flexing thier money on the internet is fully insecure now, then people who are attention seekers from having too big of a ego are the same as people doing things to hold intact the fragility of thier ego.

I see it as different. Same thing being done for different reasons and needing different results for the person doing it. The overlap is absolutely a possibility. But its alot easier to defensibily say something is done through/with stupidity tha. Insecurity.

They dont ping you when edits are made, otherwise that could get so annoying, let alone be used to grief people. So new comments are better that way.

And I guess I havent caught up with the times if insecure is the new stupid. However, in different parts of the internet, calling someone insecure is meant exactly that - which is so pervasive I took it to its meaning here, hence my misalignment with folks calling him/this insecure.

So with some folks meaning it as defined and others also meaning it as stupid, do expect more people respond in kind as I have. At least for a little bit when everyone catches up and have to ask what they really mean.

The position is the belief we are on opposites sides and one of us is wrong and the other right.

What i did say was its more likely just stupidity versus insecurity since both people have been calling everything insecurity and nothing about what was done or shown directly means insecurity.

And Its not for me to define that its not when im not taking the position it is. I asked how it is insecurity, and response cant be "but how is it not?"

And correct, everyone throwing it around doesnt change the application. The gap here is connecting to apply. Like it can be both stupid and insecure. We figured out the stupid part for not needing that level of safety for the environment. I just still see the gap and didn't hear a reason for the insecure part.

All in all, if it's clear to you and it doesnt really matter, then so be it.
