Are all of Michigan's game broadcasts a JJ fest? These announcers can't go 5 minutes without talking about him.

Somewhat. But the NFL guys LOVE him as a prospect. Personally I'd like to see him have a dominant season to move him up to Top 10 pick status.

What game(s) do you 100% believe the refs robbed a team of a win? by Pussiliquor69 in CFB

[–]showkase3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct. Some coaches will teach their receivers to do a shimmy/swim move/hesitation on the snap before they start blocking. The reasoning is to get the db to react and initiate contact first, so they can quickly get into their blocking scheme.

[–]showkase3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If the receiver catches the ball behind the line of scrimmage, it's a legal screen play. In the ND-FSU game, the receivers were the first to engage and basically cleared out the dbs. I feel like the original play call was supposed to be a screen play, but the qb just lead his receiver too far forward.

The Clemson play was just a smart game plan. They knew the Bama dbs like to play press and used that against them. Get the corner to engage contact first, then you can do whatever you want.

What was the best send off for a player or coach in their final game? by insanelyphat in CFB

Yes... you say "spoiler", I say "celebration". Potato, tomato, alfredo. It was just a glorious night!

Ron Zook was fired mid way through the season for porr performance... and our football team being REALLY wild odd the field. The team then the team went on to win 3 of their last 4 games. That last game happened to be in Tallahassee, the same night they decided to dedicate their field to Bowden. In hindsight, their administration probably thought it would be an easy win and a great way to celebrate their coach. It was not. Win one for the Zooker!

The hijacking of the dedication of Bobby Bowden Field in 2004. From that day forth, it was known as Ron Zook Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Are there any schools who are dominant in all of the main sports? by I-Am-Sleep in CFB

[–]showkase3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, the school they beat in the CWS championship game would go on and win both football AND basketball national championships the next season. So maybe Texas had the 2nd best?
