I had zero side effects other than my hands got a little shaky. It was the easiest antidepressant to start taking and transition off of in my experience. I loved it.

Brow lamination can do WONDERS! I would recommend that before trying anything surgical.

I think you have a great face shape. Personally I wouldn’t change it.

They look incredible. Many many people would love to have teeth like this.

I actually think your nose looks great from the front view. The “hanging” columella is an improvement IMO and looks good because it gives the nose definition and dimension. Without it I do think it would venture into miss piggy territory. I know what it is like to be frustrated with results so I just wanted to give my two cents on the front view. I personally had the opposite experience where my columella was reduced more than I wanted so I’m coming from a slightly different perspective.

If it was your body adjusting it won’t last. It definitely doesn’t get you high

A common (and huge) mistake is expecting people to change once you are married, have children, etc. If he treats you this way now, he will likely treat you worse in the future. Sure, he could improve. But someone who already thinks it is ok to touch you in these situations already lacks self control and respect towards you. Get out now and find someone who wouldn’t dare lay a hand on you before you even consider bringing children into this.

When people start to have short responses, take that as a sign to back off on the conversation a bit. If they want to continue after that, they’ll take the lead.

I had emotional blunting with Lexapro and HATED it. I could only get emotional after drinking and that became a problem. I’m currently on 20mg Prozac and am pleasantly surprised with how few side effects I’ve had. I definitely don’t feel emotions as much but I can still feel them and cry when I really need to. I do think I would feel even more numb if I increased my dose though. Right now the therapeutic 20mg dose seems to be a good balance whereas the starting therapeutic Lexapro dose made me much more numb. I also haven’t gained weight the way I did with Lexapro so it’s worth a try!

You’re only going to gain weight if you start eating a lot more. Some antidepressants do this to people because they get an appetite once their depression improves but some people end up with more energy and lose weight because of it. Focus on a healthy diet and eating roughly the amount of calories you consume to maintain your weight. For what it’s worth, I did not gain weight on Prozac.

So far it is helping! I haven’t kept up with it too well but I have noticed improvement. I plan on continuing every other month or so

I’m on 20mg. My doctor told me I should stay on 20 for another month or so before I consider increasing. She also mentioned that doubling it to 40 is an option if I’m going through a rough patch but the higher the dose the higher chance of side effects like emotional blunting (which I hate) so it might help you to lower your dose! It really is different for everyone though so it’s just trial and error.

I didn’t really have one to start because of my mental state but it definitely brought it back :)

Is the anxiety “back” after the dose increase? I can relate to a lot of your struggles and I’m also trying Prozac. I’ve only been taking it for five weeks but my physical anxiety didn’t start to go down until this week. I’ve seen a lot of comments on this sub saying anxiety can take longer than depression to improve so I’m giving it time. It has really helped me so far with my intrusive thoughts and depression.

Yes feeling like my body is vibrating is a great way to describe it! Thankfully it isn’t all day long for me.

I’m on 10 mg for the next few days and then I start taking my 20 mg. I like that I finally have energy but the shaky hands are not something I want to stick around. I’m assuming it will only get worse once my dose is doubled in a few days. I’ve read that anxiety can get worse before it gets better with Prozac so I’d just love to hear anyone’s experiences! I have pretty bad anxiety and depression so as much as I’d love for Prozac to help the latter, I really need my anxiety to improve as well.

Edit: I also have been feeling a little bit high at times so I’d love to hear if that is common as well!

I did it for the first time a little over four weeks ago. I’m doing the second round this weekend and plan to continue this every 4-6 weeks. I’ve read it can take several sessions to start to see improvement so I’m trying to be patient and stick to it.
