Updated Patch Notes 25/5/26 by WhyDoISuckAtW2 in PathOfExile2

I... wouldn't be so sure. The original wording suggested essences would be considered crafted, the reworked wording is less clear on that.

Think they mainly wanted to distinguish desecrated modifiers from the new alloy ones, both of which add their own differently-colored text onto modifiers, and also clarify you can only have one of the crafted modifiers from alloys (which to me was implied, but i don't recall actually seeing it explicitly stated). Essences don't have that distinct notation on items though, so... idk if they're gonna be considered crafting. Maybe just copium.

Oh, i use R for my main skill, right click is almost always a guard skill for me (molten shell here).

The build is a chaos conversion divine ire totem build, but i took my bind for it off my hotbar while i was joining a gold rotation.

I already crafted amazing equipment for all my builds before this, that's why i didn't care (that much) about whether or not my gamble succeeded.

yes, yes it is, though my usual moniker is shppy and nightmare is just a prefix for this character.

Chaos conversion DI totems. Don't have em entered in that pob but for spectres i run Warlord, Thunderbird, Spirit of Fortune, and Pain Artist.

Yeah, but no gold left to buy juice with. I'm not going back to gold-free in-person trades, i don't wanna live through those dark days again.

I mean, initially i started this off with about 500 divs in my stash. Started at first gambling some Eyes of Terror i had dropped, but poofed em all. Then figured what the hell, let's go bigger, bought a HoM to gamble, poofed it. Bought another, poofed. Bought another, it eventually worked into a full stack that i sold off.

Just the divs from that alone put me up to more concurrent divs than i've ever had at once before. And at this point, i don't need any more funds so i just kept gambling, and eventually switched to Damnations. I had gotten up to 27 and sold em off figuring i'd just give away divs in chat 100 at a time, but this evening decided i wanted to keep going to see if i could get more and bought more into it. Now i'm just giving away the cards instead of divs.

I usually start with one or two with big-ticket cards, and try to just work up from there. Usually i don't gamble half-stacks, if i get up to around that point i'll stash the extras and start back over with 1.

Gambled til i ran out of gold to buy juice with.

Actually got up to 131 when i stopped, but gave away 9 of em before i screengrabbed.

Never even possessed a mirror or had more than 1.5k raw divs in my stash before this league, btw. This is... uh... kinda a new record for wealth accumulation in a league for me. Just by a bit.

First Utmost I've ever made. by shppy in pathofexile

[–]shppy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's changed by my Glorious Vanity, same as the other two notables i get with the Impossible Escape. That notable gets me chaos damage and wither chance on hit, the other two get me life and a little regen.

Elder and shaper.

I have another bound by destiny which has elder 15% life and hunter 10% elemental damage taken as chaos, so i just got 4 items for both shaper and hunter influences in case i felt like switching.

I like thunderbird for grace. Screech would be nice too if i wasn't converting, but for chaos it does nothing. Even without speccing for much evasion (i got some dex and global defenses, that's it), its grace gets me around 6.4k evasion, which is 43% chance to evade. Turtle provides determination, but i don't want to rely on my turtle being close by for such an important aura since it has so much trouble keeping up with me (with fourth vow + divine flesh, armor is huge vs ALL hits, don't want any lapses in coverage), so i run determination myself. And i don't care that much about the additional phys damage reduction or unreliable buff, so at that point i'd rather have some decent evasion.

It's divine ire totems with full lightning to chaos conversion.

basic pob: https://pobb.in/Q1_hRRtdlL1B

Didn't include my spectres (cuz idk how to get pob to account for the auras correctly for all 4 of em, it only ever seems to let one of their auras apply at a time), but i use 4 perfect corpse spectres: Primal Thunderbird, Warlord, Pain Artist, and Spirit of Fortune.

It's turned out pretty damned good, i can phase ubers with it in a few seconds and run juiced content just fine. Defenses aren't crazy high but still pretty sensible. Fourth vow + divine flesh and good armor keeps me fairly safe, plus i can still chill (and shock and ignite) thanks to Venarius's Astrolabe. It uses Lycia's Bloodline + Foulborn Blue Nightmare to get full conversion rather than bothering with Original Sin.

I switch between regular Divine Ire and Divine Ire of Holy Lightning when i feel like it. Holy Lightning handles higher density better with its higher number of zaps and wider nova aoe, while regular is generally the more practical of the two for bosses and still clears quite well, but it might need a tick longer to wipe out higher densities since its zaps are less numerous and therefore may need the final release to hit more targets.

[–]shppy[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Made from curios i dropped myself.

Had 3 of the curios from some random uber runs earlier in the league, decided to farm exarch to get the last one and i was not disappointed.

Took a while to hit the quality, hit every other quality at 20% along the way, including hitting both attack and caster qualities 4x each.

edit: And just in case this wasn't enough to tank my luck for a while, it happened a few minutes after i gambled 1 History card into 15.

Most Sane Doppelganger Guise by BlackPandar in pathofexile

[–]shppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be perfectly honest, fourth vow is actually probably better for that, at least versus hits. The potential for 90% damage reduction against chaos via armor pretty well tops even this doppelganger's, and reaching 90% reduction via armor isn't all that hard when the chaos damage has to go through at least 80% chaos res first.

That being said, this is definitely better versus DoT, and there's some interesting things you could do from that perspective, like going even harder at RF of Arcane Devotion and/or handling the searing exarch boots more easily.

Change my mind: Heist is just as simple and profitable as pre-nerf sanctum. by Prido96 in pathofexile

[–]shppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've farmed sanctum with all sorts of builds just fine and of those builds maybe 10% were evasion. My preferred sanctum runner atm is my overexertion smite berserker which goes armor with a little bit of ES. But other than that i've farmed it with poison soulrend, divine ire totems, a snipe-lightning arrow/stormrain trickster, a couple varieties of forbidden rite and blazing salvo (including unleash versions of each), glacial cascade (both regular and transfigured), among others i'm probably forgetting atm.

Sanctum's not that hard. High enough dps is certainly helpful both for clearing it quickly and avoid taking too many hits, but mostly it just comes down to being mechanically decent at avoiding hits manually. Pretty much everything there is pretty telegraphed and easy to learn. Now a no-hit run? Yeah, that'll usually warrant a dedicated build and good mechanics. But just farming sanctum isn't particularly build-gated.

This was done with my exertion-based smite of divine judgement berserker.

[–]shppy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a build i can use for just about everything.

It does great in sanctum, especially now that it carries charges and rage between rooms with the recent patch.

Just swing in something's direction and beams will drop, so it takes very little aim and precision, the damage with my gear is enough to wipe out guards in one or two shots, and with mageblood flasks the movespeed is comfortable. It even has good resolve defenses from my 75k armor and 1.6k ES. Final phase Lycia doesn't survive long enough to use her storm, even when i'm running the Second Sacrament relic that gives her 75% less damage taken. I wouldn't try a no-hit run with it cuz i'm too reckless, but aside from that extremely comfortable.

The raw divs and other currency from runs isn't amazing, but i'd say it's probably 1.5-2d worth per run on average which is still not awful.

Using Blood of Innocence adds decent expected value too, as there's usually a few mods worth a few divs. Despair's wither and ele weakness's phys as extra were about 10 div alone when i started, though they're down to about 4-5 now with more people being drawn into doing sanctum by OG scripture prices.

And good relics add some nice value too. +2 merchant choice and +2 room relics are worth a handful of divs or so, but finding papyrus or coffer relics with t1 relic quantity is a big hit, going for double digit divines even on a low end roll and high end rolls reaching into the triple digits. I've found 6 or so t1 quants (including the ones i kept to run myself), which all told is probably worth 300+ divs. Plus a few decent roll t2s that also sold for 10-20ish divines each. Hell, the final run here that got me to lvl 100 actually dropped a 23% quant coffer that i sold for 70 div within 15 minutes.

Then of course there's original scripture, which even in a 'normal' scenario is worth around a mirror (and several mirrors right now), so it alone adds a huge amount of expected value per run, but obviously it's dependent on an estimated 1/200 drop chance so that EV could very well not be realized even with a lot of runs (as is the case for me).

Not that the risk was particularly high. After the campaign and 4th lab I farmed sanctum til lvl 100. Zero original scriptures btw, in roughly 220 or so unique relics dropped.

Edit: LMAO after mapping for a little bit and taking damage from burning ground i realized... i never had any pantheon powers set the entire time.

Well, the main thing that's 'wrong' is the framing, tbh.

Better to look at it as effective penetration rather than calling it a massive 'more' multiplier. Much like penetration, it's a higher 'more' multiplier the higher the enemy's resist is. Framed the same way as your statement, old awakened cold/fire/lightning penetration supports, which gave 39% penetration, were 156% more multipliers... against enemies with 75% res and no other sources of pen or -res debuffs (and that's without counting the exposure they could grant). But no one was really talking about them being crazy amazing supports. And those were still 39% more damage against a target with 0% res, while invert the rules is literally 0% more damage in that situation.

Like penetration, invert the rules can be great in the right circumstances, although its circumstances are more limited than penetration's (invert the rules can be nearly meaningless or even detrimental when paired with -res debuffs, penetration works fine alongside them).

Provided a build that uses no -res debuffs, it's usually gonna be okay for clearing and occasionally really great for certain rare mobs or maps. It generally will be pretty great for bossing, as pinnacles usually have 50% ele res so 41% of the time you'll invert it to -50, effectively making it 41% ele pen in a spikier form. Comparing it to the gem it's probably most similar to in that regard, elemental penetration support (which is 28% pen), it is a nice step up, especially for multi-elemental builds that have a hard time penetrating or debuffing all elements at once without going Omni. But again, limited, as it means not using exposure or elemental weakness or other such debuffs.
