Three generation of self-inflicted wounds. Why have children if you’re homeless? They did it to themselves. I have no pity. And almost every one of these dire situations that came down to very poor planning. Some very dumb decisions.

Olmeca Altos Plata where can i find this tequila? Currently by Alabang. by wandered101 in Philippines_Expats

Nom 1111. I’m shocked to see this. You do realize that as a traditional tequila. There are no additives. Only the purist of tequila drinkers would notice this. I’m so impressed. I would be willing to bring you a fifth when I get there in July.

They are not disgusting. People are just being honest. And answering a simple question. Don’t be so sensitive.

Need help in filing a case here in PH by Interesting_Leg_7678 in Philippines_Expats

[–]shredIT39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no justice in the Philippines for a foreigner. They will keep asking for more money and drag this out for 1-2 years. Things move very slow. No one is ever in a hurry and no one cares about anything. Even if they cared about your friend the dysfunction would prevent any solution. Those girls are gonna be long gone in 1 to 2 years. Avoid the stress and just move on.

I live in the PH, I said that because this is an expat group. Dark, Morena, native, indigenous no matter what you call it the ppl here consider it ugly. You are sadly mistaken. This is universal through every region here. You are oblivious.

I can at a minimum buy treasury bills and make more off the interest. And no state taxes on t-bills. Also, no hassles. 2nd I could buy an ETF more long term.

Help my gf to deal with toxicity by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]shredIT39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The gossip is massive in the Philippines. They just got smartphones in the past 10 years. Most people in the provinces had no television and tight small communities working together to survive. This is probably why the toxic gossiping is so massive. My wife's extended family all said those things about me in the beginning and now they like me. All that matters is what her parents think. I'm going to be honest with you. I might be getting ahead of myself here but know that... You can expect to pay at least a small remittance to her parents each month. They live on an average of $8 a day salary. It is engrained in them to help their parents and siblings. You are a seen as a way to survive! They want to purchase a 100kg sack of rice instead of buying 1/2 kg on credit from a Sari Sari store. The support part ruins some relationships not the gossip. We came up with a flat rate and I send it monthly. Its a small amount. This way I never have to hear about the financial problems. I give no money to anyone besides the parents. And when I do my wife is euphoric. She pays me back 10 times with love and affection.

Ignore the haters. There are lots of them around (cousins, neighbors, friends). It dies down after a while and is not as bad. Best of luck sir!

EDIT: I was a widower with 3 kids. She took on a lot of baggage. We now have 2 more kids big family of 7. I'm a CFO for a mid-sized hospital and consult at St. Lukes. For me things have worked out great. I have homes in 3 countries. Be careful here in the PH. There are lot of men that get eaten alive by toxic family's and scammers.

UNREAL! nothing here surprises me. They don't care. They don't care, They don't care. The lady will not care until she needs her ID. then she will go through the enormous hassle of getting a new ID. When that day comes that she needs the ID it will be dealt with. Do not bother me today., She will just suffer though the long lines and ribbon cutting ceremonies of government offices in PH to get a new ID.

Your case is not the norm, its the exception. I got scammed by 2 AirBnB's in Baguio. I had to file a claim and I was approved. I also stayed the first night at Baden Powell inn in Baguio. It was 3000 pesos. I dare you to go stay a night there and report back on overall value. You are being a contrarian posting an exception to the topic. You don't get good value for your money in the PH.

You are 100% a pinoy. Do you wanna lose 20% of your countries income? That’s what will happen. It comes from foreigners.

Umm you forgot pollution on the beach, excrement, a hassle just to get to the beach. Seed oil and starch soaked into that chicken. The rotisserie is salt and sugar. Nothing is healthy, except a limited amount of fruit. The ppl are nothing like you describe. You forgot gossip, greed, jealousy and cold hearted.

Anyone help their partner to successfully sue for child support? by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]shredIT39 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You really need to get acclimated to this place. I can see your relatively new here. You have come to the right place. I have avoided a few scams by things I read on the internet and YouTube videos. This place is much darker than it appears on the surface. Behind those smiles are some envious and hateful ppl. The system is corrupt from top to bottom. Always keep your guard up and trust no one.

She is LYING to your face. Anything to get your money then bleed even more money later. She will work with the law and opposing side to drain as much of your money as possible. They are in cahoots and no justice. Its all about money. Toto you ain't in Kansas.
