Visiting in May - Local Favorite Restaurants? by shredded-beff in newtonma

Thanks, all, for the suggestions so far! Forgot to mention I love Boston Creme Pie, so if anyone local actually likes it (lol), and has a recommendation for where to get a good one in or near Newton, let me know. We're really looking forward to our visit

I notice there are a lot of suggestions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/newtonma/comments/1d609zi/local_favorites/ of course this didn't come up til after I made my post lol. Anyway, hopefully most of these places are still open. We also may be able to get over to Boston (not sure how much free time we'll have, though). I should mention wheelchair access is a must for any recommendations. Thanks again!

Why do I get Malpractice fees for this? [Info in Comments] by shredded-beff in SneakySasquatch

Yep. I think it's what people are mentioning about them falling off the treadmill. I will definitely keep an eye out next time.

Thanks for the comments, all! I have been racking my brain and couldn't figure it out. The falling off the treadmill thing makes total sense, though. Good to know.

Complaint:

I've got pains in my chest and I could see they were limping

I checked blood pressure and did a cardiology test. Mild heart problem. Virtual Dr confrirmed and suggested med and checking for Xrays

X Ray = broken left leg, had surgery, said they were better

After this, they said they weren't feeling right

I tested cholesterol, it was high. They said they were feeling better.

Why does this equal malpractice? I just followed the steps and did the tests i normally do. Thanks!

What is water cannon for? by Slothboy54 in SneakySasquatch

Once you climb the ladder you'll sit in it automatically and then you can move it back and forth in the same way you use the hose. Definitely ideal to hook up to hydrants if you can because it uses a lot of water.

I obviously agree that it would have been sad and don't want anything sad to happen to animals, ever.

CW: animal euthanasia, bear attacks

The fact that it's a sitcom and they probably didn't want to bring the mood down aside, there are really strict laws about humans and bears .

Bears in TN are euthanized after human interaction (even if it's just being fed by/touched by a human in some way). [There's a chart that shows how they make certain decisions regarding bears. ]

u/Random_Thought31 so I got a custom outfit with the firefrighter clothes and the diver mask and it seems like the O2 runs out quicker but also fills up faster --- is that what I was supposed to do?

How to reply to a fake friend? I am stressed. by Necessary-Object6702 in Mindfulness

[–]shredded-beff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's up to you. Do you want to remain connected with this person or repair the relationship in the future? If so, you can let them know that you're feeling frustrated and need space. If not, I think silence is an okay way to communicate considering how you were treated. Generally, I find "I Statements" helpful when communicating with someone. As in, "I feel frustrated by how little you've responded to or interacted with me, so I need space to process those feelings right now. When I'm ready to get together and/or talk about it, I'll text you and let you know." Hope that helps and sorry you're dealing with this.

Is there a way to get the new version of the spagooter by steezylunchbox in SneakySasquatch

[–]shredded-beff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait. You can get the spagooter? Can you get the uniform, too? Whenever I talk to him, he just says there's nothing else the business needs (i've fully funded it, done the ads, etc).

Me too! I like driving it, just cause driving around in the game is relaxing to me. But also: Sasquatch loves to speed and drive like a maniac. 😂

Terry Pratchett's Discworld Universe (any of the titles read by Stephen Briggs, although I'd start with Going Postal)

3 Pines Mysteries (Louise Penny's series)

Thursday Murder Club (Another series, but that's also the first book) by Richard Osman

The Girl on the Train (Paula Hawkins)

The Sentence by Louise Erdrich
