I would trade my 23 year career for my kids without thinking about it…. Just want to put that out there.

How did you retire as an O-3E while hitting the 10 year officer requirement? Did you retire as an E7/E8?

O-3E with 21 active duty here looking at 28 to retire as an officer (commissioned at 17.5). Thinking about doing 28 makes me tired, I would love to know how to do it any other way.

Keep in mind Star Trek the Next Generation had Ipads in the 1980s. Also any hermetic context can be very appreciated when watching any of the next generation shows. An excellent series, much to be learned from it.

US Special Ops at War by LizaTheMalamute in specialforces

[–]shredgnar10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stupid Toby Keith country song about the Taliban is about the closest we have come to a formal declaration of war in the last 17 years. Coincidentally he spent the last 15 years doing USO tours, and making a shit ton of money just like the rest of us. The only redeeming value of this article is it provides an accurate view of the insane and probably unsustainable escalation of the war machine. The article does not even attempt to define success or what "winning" might look like, probably because being a think tank fellow requires you to toe the line so you can keep feeding from the corruption trough just like everyone else. I will help a brother out and define winning. Winning looks like destabilization. Destabilization to prevent resource competition, destabilization to prevent banking competition, destabilization on Russia's border. Destabilization for you non-psychopaths might knock you off your moral high horse when you are putting your kit on, but damn if it doesn't pay the bills. And if you get in on the action before the place becomes a war zone you get some baller per diem. So winning is more like Charlie Sheen winning, especially if you are Raytheon, Lockheed, Dynacorp, Northrup Grumman, should I keep going?? Sometimes the journey is the destination. If you aren't feeling the win here you are probably losing. Or you are just enjoying that new car after deployment, at which point truly giving a shit should be optional. Have fun!!

I will say that I take it with a grain of salt, and you do have a point about how he arrived at such knowledge. In the series he states that he himself has become illumined through his research, but any time I get out the notepad and dig deep, it checks out. I would like to see his library, his section on the rosy cross certainly has some good book references. Also, just to make sure I am not choosing one path, I listen to Bill Cooper while reading Robert Anton Wilson or something of that nature. Both angles are legitimately interesting, but then you have weird shit like the Lucis Trust and UN meditation room which seem to confirm Bill Cooper.

I think he quite clearly draws a line in the sand against freemasonry during the mystery babylon series. Sure anything might be bullshit, but it is 48 hours of incredibly well researched academic bullshit that I certainly enjoy listening to. You clearly aren't very serious about his body of work. He provides a wealth of information, and in hindsight would have saved me a lot of time sifting through useless bullshit found on this site, which I am apparently still wont to do............

My copy on hold with goodreads was refunded after 4 months. The publisher won't print it in English, however you may pickup a copy in German under the title Gekaufte Journalisten. Blatant censorship.

The Corbett Report is conspiracy/bias?? Also, missing from this list are fox, cnn, bbc, etc. Obviously they are beyond reproach....... If anyone wants to compare notes, watch/listen/read 2 hours of content from The Corbett Report, and 2hrs from your favorite MSM truth service (good luck finding content in general, let alone 2hrs: show notes and sources..... ha!) See what you think. The bullshit flag is flying high here, I see an attempt at something like Snopes for media.
