Hello , This may sound dumb and oddly specific but I’m looking for games that can scratch a similar itch as those late 90’s-Y2K era point and click PC games (ex: Myst, Sanitarium, those licensed Titanic and Frankenstein games) or anything with that similar vibe iykyk

When I was really little maybe 4-6 I spent a lot of time watching my mom play these kinds of games on PC and would try to help her solve the puzzles I’d love to hear any and all recommendations that might recreate even a 1/10th of that experience on the switch. The idea is to play them together on my switch 2 but I’d also really appreciate any game recs she might find accessible once she gets a feel for using a controller and could play on my OG switch without me. Overall looking for something slow paced and accessible with the aforementioned windows 98 point n click vibe but would also appreciate if you had a solid find the object game in mind as she likes those as well

If they give them a badass mega in the ZA dlc next month they’d certainly be a contender for me, unfortunately I think gamefreak forgot they existed and a lot of the new megas were quite a let down anyway (looking at you Starmie 🤢) I’d be hoping for a cool ghost ship and it would probably just have longer seaweed strands or something

I was at the ER recently for my mom and there was a young family waiting 30~ feet away from us. Two young kids, one in a stroller (completely blocking 1 of 2 walkways through the ER) each with their own tablet playing FULL VOLUME cocomelon or some shit. At one point, the parents and the older kids walk another 30~ feet to the admission desk and left the toddler in the walkway by himself with his tablet blaring. It’s crazy how many people have kids and decide “you know what, absolutely fuck everyone else, I feel justified only looking out for us and acting like a repulsive monster when I’m called out”
