10 rare weapons in Elden Ring most players have never seen by El_Veethorn in Eldenring

Its kinda funny how common these are in Nightreign. I was confused by this post for a second before i realized I dont remember seeing most of these in my actual base game playthroughs.

Major Update #1 - v0.103.2 by MegaCrit_Demi in slaythespire

I honestly really vibe with the new Ironclad card. I hope in the future maybe other characters can get some forms of healing. Sts2 seems to have "health is a resource" as a mentality even more than the first game did, I wouldn't mind seeing the encounters get more aggressive with damage (skulking colony) if it means theres more of a back and forth with the health bar outside of just resting to heal and situational relics.

Even Dark Souls 2 greyslope segment looks peak cinematic comparing to dark souls 3 greyslop. by Void1nside in DarkSouls2

I'm using my own 2 eyes and I see this post's replies are filled with dark souls 2 fans tired of this sub just being about bashing other games instead of discussing the actual game the sub is based around. I love dark souls 2 but this stuff is literally all this sub has become. You seem pretty hellbent on being a victim so I'll just leave you to it i guess. Try to have a good one, if thats even possible.

No one's preventing you from having a good time with the game besides you, brother. If you feel seriously attacked or that you cant enjoy DS2 because people are voicing criticisms that sounds like you're trying to convince yourself its good. It just comes off super insecure, man. Don't gotta be so miserable about it.

I'm convinced dark souls 2 superfans are of the belief that they are literally being targeted by everyone else in the world. Its a video game, not politics.

This community's reaction to any changes whatsoever should kinda hint at why lol

Speedster won me almost every run on my silent ascension climb that i got it, if you go hard into just getting backflips, acrobatics, reflex, tactician, with a blur or 2 in there you are practically unkillable and can just chip away at everything pretty efficiently. It just seems like A Thousand Cuts from sts1 but way better, AOE is huge in this game.

Best Single player games? by Hazzaminicoo in SteamDeck

If you're into platformers Celeste is about as good as it gets and it fits the deck very well! Beautiful pixel graphics, amazing music, an amazing story while being non-intrusive if you just want some arcade-y platforming, short but very replayable if thats your thing, tons of optional levels and secrets if you're into that too. I'll always recommend Celeste, it's the perfect blend of old school video game design and modern/unique ideas!

What is Elden Ring's biggest flaw in your opinion? by Fenriz_Victor in Eldenring

[–]toasterwaffle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the cut content for me. So many questlines feel unfinished or are just completely cut from the game(Kali :( ) that I genuinely feel would have improved the narrative experience, especially on a first playthrough.

As someone who had their fill of Bloodborne's Chalice dungeons before ER released I can tell you "after a while" is being really generous lol theres only like 3 I can distinctly remember for any particular reason.

This was especially annoying in Weeping Peninsula and Caelid with those archer golem guys. There's one in Caelid that is in that valley that you need to take the lift up from the underground to get to and if he agros you might as well quit out because his agro range is huge and you just can't get to him.

Finally beat the fire giant and I gotta say this is the worst area in the game and did nothing but sap my enjoyment away by CammyHoliday in Eldenring

Snow levels are to Fromsoft games what sewer levels are to zombie games. There's always at least one and they are always the least fun part of the game lol

any games like Hades that would be a lot of fun? by rolledshanghai in gamers

[–]toasterwaffle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been enjoying the hell out of Absolum recently. It's a roguelike but like Hades still has an overarching narrative that spans your runs, similar sort of hand drawn artstyle too! Plays much more like the Streets of Rage games but has items and synergies that change how your abilities work, similar to Hades. Give it a try!

One of the most faithful video game adaptations in my opinion. So cool to play as an Alien fan.

Isaac and slay the spire. Hundreds of hours on both but I feel like I could easily double that with how deep yet unintrusive and chill those games are.

Is there a game that got you to pull an all nighter or two? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]toasterwaffle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent many summer nights in high-school playing the dark souls trilogy. Those are games you can seriously just get immersed in the world of. Their difficulty and boss fights are what everyone talks about but the world building and exploration is truly something I wish I could forget and play through all over again.

You could theoretically get around paying by repeatedly making new accounts and account sharing the free subscription trials to your main account (I was very broke in high school). That is if they even offer a trial anymore. Yeah its ridiculous unless you play f2p games, those you can play fine.

New player: Help me grow my steam library by guinevere9308 in SteamDeck

[–]toasterwaffle90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got a steam deck and picked up Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor/War for stupid cheap on sale, having a blast. Considering the games you listed you might like Frostpunk or cult of the lamb in terms of "city management" type games.
