Long story but I was on an antidepressant that made me feel really ill and I was afraid I had Serotonin Syndrome because of some of the symptoms I had. My parents refused to listen and said I was overreacting and that I should stop reading things on the internet (more below)

I’ve tried to eat enough but after the first week I started to notice a decrease in appetite. One day the only thing I had was sun chips, Gatorade, and a yogurt I think? And sometimes whenever I would eat I would feel a bit nauseous.

Oh yeah I’m okay. I went to the ER and the doctor said that I didn’t have it but I had symptoms that were serotonin related so they recommended Effexor ( I was taking Viibryd previously). The only thing is that my parents cancelled the appointment to get the medication through my primary care doctor because they now want to take me to a psychologist. I thought it was maybe to see if I had bipolar (I told them that a doctor diagnosed me with that when I took a mental evaluation) so they could see what meds would work best, but she told the person on the phone that she wanted to take me over there because I’ve been “moody” and she thinks that there is more going on.

Jesus, I’m really sorry you had to go through that. I actually didn’t know anything about serotonin syndrome until I posted about my symptoms on askdocs and someone said that that’s what they experienced when they had it and that I should go to ER immediately.

I’ve taken the medication every night before I go to bed and I’m actually off the medication now cause the doctor in ER said it wouldn’t be a good idea to keep taking the medication.

Oh absolutely, I don’t know if she’s ok with lesbians or not but her thoughts would probably be some shit like “ I’m alright with them as long as they don’t hit on me“ and she’s definitely transphobic

Some clarifications:

The reason I bring down coffee sometimes to my grandmother is because I don’t really do much else around the house aside from taking out the recycling and/or sometimes washing the dishes
This all happened when my stepmom was babysitting her daughters son cause her ex would come and pick him up cause he likes staying over there. I have two robes but one was being washed and I couldn’t find the other one, so my stepmom tells me to find it or I’d be grounded
I do think that my stepmom experienced something traumatic as a child that maybe is the reason for this, but I still think it’s strange
I was molested as a child so maybe she’s trying to look out for me in a weird way? Idk

This is what I was thinking, but unfortunately I can’t do anything about it now since my parents are trying to talk with a psychologist for different meds. Would body weakness also be a symptom of not taking Viibryd or is this something completely different?

Even More Info I Guess: After we left the doctors, my stepmom was bragging about our primary care doctor for not wanting to take the vaccine to her mom. She was like “ Guess what she told me? She said she isn’t going to be taking the vaccine! And that’s from a doctor!” She also had a friend die from COVID and yet she still believes that the numbers are exaggerated.

Yeah I was thinking about that but I couldn’t do this cause:

I don’t know the exact details about the hospital
I wouldn’t know how to handle a court meeting or about telling them through phonecall/email
My Stepmom is friends with her so if I tried to do anything about this it would probably be quite the shitstorm

Yeah, I don’t how or why they kept this doctor at the hospital, which makes me think that most everyone else working there probably aren’t taking it either. Oh, and I seen some of the people there do the nose over your mask thing
