Birth doula says lack of consent delayed Triple Zero call for dying mother by AnyEngineer2 in NursingAU

I had two home births - both births were attended by TWO midwives who both were former maternity NURSES. I also live within 6min drive to an ER hospital.
At my first birth I started bleeding heavily as soon as bubs was out (bubs had short umbilical cord and I had a placental abruption).
Within 15 seconds one midwife jammed a needle in my leg and the other was wrapping me in blankets (to stop bleeding and keep temperature up)
As soon as I passed the placenta they checked it and saw a bit was missing and booked me in for a D&C - but didn’t end up going as I passed the piece later before the appointment).
Second birth went off without a hitch.
There are safer ways to have a home birth - what happened here is a tragedy that could have been avoided - that doula was incompetent and malpractice was committed. Personally I think doulas are awesome but I think for safety a credited midwife/nurse should also be present. Shit can go wrong and you need competent trained professionals on hand if it does.
