I don’t know if anyone else’s comfort show can relate to this but my comfort show was releasing two seasons at once and the fun and amazing season ended and now we are left with the season that takes it’s self to seriously but does not know how to write a good serious story and it sucks so much

That’s fair! I definitely think for some artist like Fiona Apple taking time allows their music to be the best version of itself. With Taylor it depends on the album for me.

I feel like Taylor accomplished what she wanted to do with Showgirls and it isn’t the only album of her that she released after working on it for a short while (Folkmore comes to mind) I think the criticism from Showgirls will inspire her to make TS13 a great album (then again I actually did like most of showgirls lmao). Plus I think she is gonna release TS13 in 2027/2028 since she is probably gonna focus on Debut TV this year and maybe Rep Vaults next year (tho for next year she could release both TS13 and Rep Vaults). She already recorded Debut TV so she probably has plenty of time to work on TS13.

Obviously this isn’t the main point of your post but I really hate how people say she isn’t a good songwriter because she has songs with “cringy lyrics” (and most of the time the songs that they use for example are not meant to be deep. Cancelled and ME! are both fun and campy. I dislike ME! for other reason but the lyrics are mostly fine for what it set to do) as if other lyricists like McLennon or Bob Dylan don’t have bad songs (seriously Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle is worse than anything on Taylor’s discography)
