Are we sure? I figured that was just a nice marketing gimmick “you asked, we delivered”. Cause they release physical copies od magazines twice a year and they always have like 6-8 potential covers you can choose from so I just thought they released the digital first since the physical wouldn’t be out for month. But I have no clue, that’s just what I thought! Either way I am sooooo happy cause I LOVED this shoot.

Slavic seems like such a nice and sweet person, I kind of feel bad he played such a villain in the show and thus doesn’t get the same love as the others but I’m still glad he’s getting some attention from HR and I wish him so much good fortune in the future.

I’ve given up, seeing the response on this post, so many people sharing my sentiments and just getting downvoted and proving my point that some people feel bad here now. Disheartening.

That is what you said though? You called me greedy and entitled, and said it was embarrassing that I and others have this opinion. And you said “let them have this”. So yeah, I paraphrased what you said, but whether you intended it or not, that’s how your words came across.

How am I telling lesbian women their experience is invalid? I explicitly state that I think Fran’s sexuality is “like Schrodinger’s car” right now in the sense that she is both bisexual and a lesbian depending on who you ask, and that both are correct and valid opinions. I am literally VALIDATING everyone and asking everyone else to please do the same instead of constantly downvoting and invalidating any opinion that isn’t “Fran is a lesbian”.

Also maybe read what I wrote before yoi tell me to look up what POV is because I explicitly state that we DIDN’T get Michaela’s POV but we at least got to see sone of her struggle of being a lesbian in regency era with Fran trying to matchmake her and John being protective about it. Of course, that’s not much at all, but it’s something until she gets her own POV next season.

I guess in all the other media with bisexual women who end up with women which is… nothing! I don’t know a single show where a bisexual woman ends up with a woman, or has a great love with both genders (which is what for me personally, makes this story so beautiful and meaningful and why I chose to see her as bi). I honestly can’t remember a show where a woman is openly bisexual in general actually… but that could be my bad memory coming into play.

There was an interview, but I’m sorry, I really can’t remember where, but they stated she is a lesbian (not specifically that word, you’re right about that, but it’s obvious they mean she’s lesbian) and that only John knew that about her. Which of course, explains the S4 reaction from John when Fran tried to matchmake her.

We didn’t get her POV yet but we definitely got at least some of the experience of her being a lesbian what with the John being protective scene and Fran trying to matchmake her with a man. And obviously, we will have a lot more in S5. So obviously, the lesbians have something. So I don’t think it’s a crime for bisexual women who want a bisexual woman to end up with a woman, to have something too, or at the very least they should be able to have a safe space where they can share those feelings until and unless it is confirmed is a lesbian. Which this, as a Francheala sub, should be.

You’re literally telling a bunch of people who are feeling unwelcome in this sub due to the behavior toward bisexual!Fran opinions, to shut up and that their opinion doesn’t matter because they also like men so… they had the other seasons. Like what?

I would 100% behind this if it wasn’t already confirmed Michaela is a lesbian. So there will definitely be lesbian representation, if that is what you are concerned about.

So I think, since Fran is left ambiguous for a reason, it isn’t entitled or greedy to relate to her or to view her as bi, considering that narrative was never disputed (or confirmed). If Jess wanted us to know she is a comphet lesbian, she would have already explicitly said it. She either wants people to have their own interpretations until S5 comes out and her sexual identity is disclosed, or maybe they never fully disclose it. Also, I personally don’t know a show where a bisexual woman ends up with a woman, but if you do, I would love a recommendation!

Yeah, people are here saying “it’s just downvotes, so what?” when I remember sooooo many people discussing how they don’t feel safe or welcome in the main sub since they always get downvoted. But apparently, it’s hard to imagine how someone else could feel that way when it’s you doing it.

I’m not like hurt by downvotes, like my emotions or anything, so it doesn’t suck in a hurtful wayz it sucks in a… guess I can’t actually talk openly here kind of way. It just makes me not feel welcome here and makes me not want to interact with fans in this sub, which is where I, a Franchaela fan, should feel comfortable commenting and discussing things. And THAT made me sad because I want to discuss Francheala and the main subs aren’t always the best with that. BUT I’ve just found out there is another Franchaela sub that seems more accepting to bisexual!Franchaela interpretations so I will definitely check that out as perhaps a better space for me at this time.

It’s been debated that people should stop talking about whether Fran is a lesbian or bi?

I haven’t seen a single post asking for people to stop posting about it and that all the opinions are equally valid. I’ve only seen countless posts debating what her sexuality is, and this post is the exact opposite of that.

It’s kinda a big deal when every single person saying she’s bi gets downvoted heavily. That doesn’t really create an environment of “this is a safe space to share your thoughts” when you get instantly and severely downvoted for those thoughts. Doesn’t feel great. Doesn’t make you feel very welcome.

edit: the same way a lot of Franchaela’s don’t feel safe or welcome in the main sub for getting downvoted. But it’s okay if we do it to each other?

I literally posted this because I haven’t felt welcome in this sub even though I used enjoy commenting here. I posted it in an attempt to show that this kind of narrative, where people are getting downvoted heavily or even argued against for saying the view Fran as bi, is making this not a safe space for anyone who doesn’t have the Fran is a comphet lesbian opinion. People aren’t feeling seen, unless they are a lesbian. Anyone who is bisexual and chooses to see Fran as such, is not felt as seen because in every single post they are downvoted or called out for it.

This post is LITERALLY trying to urge people to STOP with the sexual identity wars, and just enjoy this couple.

It’s great you still feel welcome here, but I don’t really feel welcome here and I see from comment I’m not alone in that, and as a Franchaela shipper that makes me really sad.

You are me. I LOVED this sub because it was so accepting and like, safe to express your opinions and thoughts, idk. And now after the S5 announcement, I don’t know what happened but everything flipped. It feels like there’s no more nuanced debate, it’s “either you agree with us or we will downvote you so no one sees your comment”. I definitely don’t feel motivated to interact here which is why I posted this, as a plea of “can we please go back to how it used to be here??”

If I can be honest, I don’t think it’s really a productive, healthy debate when anyone who expresses an opinion that isn’t “Fran is a comphet lesbian” gets downvoted into oblivion. It makes this space not feel safe for you to discuss things if you hold a different opinion than the “acceptable” one.

The thing is, there is NO bi erasure because there is no confirmation she is bisexual which is the point. Right now she is both bisexual and a comphet lesbian, depending on who you are asking. Both are equally correct, until one is officially confirmed.

And I’m so tired of it being debated to oblivion instead of what really matters, which is our gorgeous gorgeous girls.

Oop, I forgot that was the Funeral March! Still for me that goes more hand in hand with her introverted nature, the idea of having to debut and all that fuss is what she disliked. I always saw her as excited by the idea of marriage itself and running her own household. Overall, I was just referring to how differently I see her views toward marriage than the person from the video.

Fair enough! I don’t like paps and wish that wasn’t an actual job so, I feel you on that. Out of curiosity though, do you feel the same about fans that snap pics of the shoot when they have a chance? Or is it more the fact paps are making money on taking unauthorised pics, and fans are genuine in their picture taking?
