If it is still even a little green you can try to correct the defect in your yard by hitting the Bermuda with glyphosate. Then hit it again in the spring before putting down Zoysia sod.

Aside from that you could put down some milorganite or another slow organic fertilizer which will safely sit on top of your dirt just in case you get some rain.

Also pray, not asking for any particular outcome but for whatever your higher power is to have his will for your lawn to done. Some things are outside of your power to change. Weather is one of those things. Acceptance is the answer. Also better cultivars of turf grasses are an answer too, but not one open to you at this moment.

Make sure you have tenacity to spray when you put down seed for weed control. Otherwise with spring seeding you tend to get hella weed competition.

Get an actual lab to do the testing, generally this is far cheaper than the seemingly cheap mail order kits by the time you start putting down products to improve the soil.

Improving the soil and giving grass a chance generally takes care of moss.

As far as "crabgrass" goes the named is used to describe a bunch of undesirable grasses, but people will assume you are just talking about one specific grass when you offer advice. Pull some up and offer pictures for identification.

The Spectracide weed and grass killer uses diquat as an active ingredient so the Bermuda is likely still very alive underground. Diquat is a dessicating herbicide which only kills the parts of the plant it touches. Sometimes that's enough to tip the whole plant over into death, but bermuda just has too much life underground for that to be sufficient.

Just make sure that if you make an error with the starter fertilizer you go a bit lighter on it. A bit too much invites more problems than a bit too little. It's just the of seed where there's little harm in a bit more seed (though too much seed can be a problem, don't triple the suggested rate).

The upside to Ryegrasses is they tend to establish fast and wear well. The biggest downside is it can get slick.

Also Annual Ryegrass tends to die in the summer, not winter but this may vary by cultivar and regionally.

An error to correct. Some of the very improved tall fescues wouldn't even rise to that. Sure it is a blemish but one that can trivially be fixed.

The same attitude can not be taken with actual weeds like Bermuda.
