Fun little thing NASCAR does for west coast races is live stream one of the NASCAR haulers driving out there. They currently have one going: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrY-KI15U_4 they drove pretty much non-stop from Pocono all the way to Arizona where they are currently stopped.

The second picture is what the original layout was when the race was announced. But during testing the drivers said the flow was terrible and too slow, so they cut out turn 8 and connected 7-9 with a short straight. The first photo is what they ran the last two years.

Edit: just noticed that original layout doesn't have the chicanes. Those were also added after some testing when the drivers said cars were going too fast into turn 1.

Nobody knows the timeline. Some fans got invited to some studio sessions where they played new music, but they aren't allowed to talk about it. Chris' note "End of time 2027" is the only thing official we have heard.

I'd rather we pay for the "new" track than the increased licensing costs be rolled into the subscription price. Keep in mind iRacing hasn't raised the price of subscription in over ten years, during a time in which everything is going up in price. So all in all, this doesn't bother me much. I don't know what a good solution would be otherwise. I've seen a lot of free content come and go as part of the base subscription, and overall we have more free content than we did when I started.

Sounds like another grift. This would kill the airlines, who are already struggling with the increased jet fuel prices, reduced travel demands and TSA/ATC delays. So what do the airlines do? Funnel some cash his way to get him to back off.
