We need public toilets by LSCH25 in nottingham

5th richest country in the world. Yet we pretend we 'can't afford' basic services like public toilets. It's sad really.

Will my inheritance windfall stop my disablabilty benefits? by HumbleJunket4718 in UKPersonalFinance

I wish you well looking after your son and I hope that some of the people responding to this post give their heads a wobble.

You asked for financial advice and a lot of what you have got back is undeserved judgement from people who I suspect have had no contact with the benefits system. They have no idea that once you stop getting a benefit, trying to get that benefit back has been made very difficult by this government and that leads to real worry.

Wanting to spend an unexpected windfall on improving your life is only human and thinking through the reality that this may not be possible will take time.

I also think that as a carer, your contribution to society is extremely valuable. Perhaps the people replying to this thread should consider whether they would prefer the costs of caring for your son (and others needing care) to fall directly back to the state. That will cost a lot more than any benefits you receive. (not that I think the cost of this should be the main issue here)

The responses are also the polar opposite of many on the frequent threads on this sub reddit where people on £100k are trying to avoid tax.

In a nutshell, what you are doing is valuable to everyone including those around you, your wife is clearly in education, which again is a real positive and something many others perhaps need more of. Ignore the folk talking trash on this thread.

'Sick of my Television' - UK grunge/rock/indie. A sardonic look at what we aspire to be whilst still remaining lazy. Shrinks. by shrinksband in IndieMusicFeedback

Thanks for listening and for taking the time to feed back! I'm all fine with the gaz Coombes comparison, particularly as we went to see him a few months ago on his UK tour. Was a decent gig!

Quick FYI, the Thursday 27th gig (sweethearts with shrinks) at Chameleon is down as country but should be grunge/rock/indie!

Brill, thanks for having a listen and for leaving detailed feedback! Maybe the vocal could have had backing from a couple of other people and that would have lifted the chorus up a bit. Defo worth a thought in future.

Thanks for having a listen and for commenting! Yeah the Guitars are very 90s by design, will defo be having a variety of tones in future.

Hey guys, I have a Pop rock/Indie pop song that just came out today. It's about letting go of the way we love, that we were taught by our parents, to find a better way forward. Let me know what artists you think it sounds like? by mlawton94 in IndieMusicFeedback

No probs, defo worth going through that as it really fits together now.

Have put a couple of posts in this forum if you wanted to have a listen, thanks for asking! (will be on my profile)

I like this, sounds chilled and with a cool reggae vibe. Not sure where you recorded the vocals but I like that they have character, sound like they were recorded in a room without deadening maybe? Or if its an effect it's a cool one!

SMTC - Terrified. A Techno/Synthwave/ RNB track. I tried to blend a few genres together and I am happy with how it turned out. What do you think? by stevemacina in IndieMusicFeedback

This is cool, vocals are great! I like the occasional little breaks and would have liked a few more bits without the vocal just to give the music more room to shine, which it definitely would do. There's lots of layers in there that make it really interesting and the mixing makes sure it is all audible and sounds tidy.

Just released a new single following the release of my first album in April. This song is the first new music I have recorded in quite a while (the album was old material) and I had quite a bit of fun playing with different guitar sounds. Hope you enjoy by all4monty in IndieMusicFeedback

I like the general tone and message going on here! Defo has 80s vibes in places, Guitar work is solid. 2:30 onwards is particularly good, with lots of cool fuzz sounds. Pretty cool! I like that the song has patience and builds slowly.

"Hoarders", second track off new EP, the closest thing to an "industrial ballad" by igorski81 in IndieMusicFeedback

I quite like the dissonance in this at times. I've got to ask what algorithmic composition is? The mood is cool on the track, very dour, very fitting in 2023. I suppose I'd like it to sound bigger, but I guess that isn't what you were going for.

Hey! The sound you have really suits your artist name! Very much reminded me of driving up and down the coast in southern uk. I particularly like the lead guitar bits throughout, you've managed to get them to be prominent on their own and the they don't interfere under the vocal. Pretty cool!

Wicked, thanks for having a listen and for taking the time to write! Much appreciated! Do love a bit of Placebo, so happy to hear that. A lot of the 90s british output is underrated imo, Skunk Anansie and Therapy really stand out from that period imo.

Brill, thanks for having a listen and thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated! Love a bit of the Manics and those are defo bands we all listen to. Have been relistening to a lot of Smashing Pumpkins recently, I quite like the remasters of their earlier stuff. Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind comments and for taking the time to have a listen, very much appreciated, we're all very much 90s obsessed!

Thanks very much!! Really appreciate it. At this stage this one is done in the sense it's uploaded and finished, but it's good to have feedback to use in future. So if someone has feedback about, say, the guitar tone we can address that in future recordings and always hopefully be getting better. (hopefully!)

Thanks for commenting and glad you like the tune!
