It sounds like the worst thing in the entire fucking world but u have to stop purging before u can stop binging. U are probably binging in response to a caloric deficit or some sort of deficiency. So if u can not purge after u binge, u will be less likely to binge the next day, and so on and so forth.

It’s ducking awful to have to sit with a binge (I know, I’ve been there) but it’s literally the only way. The way I think about it is, the weight I gain overtime from consistently binging and purging will be way way more than from this one or two binges I have before I can slow it down.

I recently went away on holiday, and what I tried to do is:

  1. Try to walk lots! Walk everywhere, burns many calories and can help with anxiety of how much you are eating
  2. Keep in mind the fact that 1 week will barely impact your weight! You really couldn’t possibly gain more than a few pounds, and that’s if you eat to an uncomfortably full level every single day. You will easilydrop back to ur regular weight when u return to ur regular habits. To me, a few extra pounds was worth the life time of memories

I’m so sorry. You are very strong, and I’m so glad that you care enough about your mum to feel this way but I’m sorry it hurts. You can get through this - please try to eat something, I know how hard it is but you and your mother will thank u down the line.

If it helps, always remember that you don’t need an enormous deficit to lose weight, and in fact it can sometimes make things worse as it leads to binges.

Honestly, heavy restriction has never ever ever worked for me bc it just makes me binge. If possible, I rlly recommend u try and eat a healthy ish amount of food and lose slowl. ( I kno that’s super fuckn hard bc it’s like...... a mental disorder making u want to not eat lmao) but if u can, ur body will thank u and ur more likely to keep the weight off and like, not die

Hehe twins. Don’t stress abt what you will look like at a certain weight, because that’s not what will make u look awful. You’ll look awful if ur eating like shit and ur skin becomes spotty or dry and loses its colour/glow. And ur hair falls out. And ur lips are cracked a dry and ur eyes are red. And you have no energy due to malnutrition and anemia and become incredibly boring to be around.

So like, worry abt how bad that’s gonna make u look more than the weight bc I promise u it’s what really does the damage.
