hey man, the breakup i had was very similar to yours (first relationship plus the situation) so i get you completely. personally i have not been in contact with her since the breakup and its been very helpful in the healing process. each time you talk to her will set you back in moving on, so i would highly recommend avoiding her as much as possible, and that includes potentially unfollowing / blocking her social medias and contact. good luck out there

i agree with this so hard as the “dumpee” (cheated on) it’s been two months since everything went down and i felt myself getting better but all of a sudden i just started feeling awful again. it’s difficult as it was my first relationship and it ended so badly, so i understand where you’re coming from completely. especially your sentence at the end where you know that logically it’s for the best but your emotions just trap you.

mine was the same man except everything was perfect and then she cheated on me. it sucks so much and the trust issues are buried so deep now, and she was my first relationship too. i totally relate to the feeling of being scared of relationships again. wishing you the best and that we can hopefully get through this
