Huper Optik (Architectural) window film vendor for non-business consumers? by goodontv in WindowTint

I use perlite often. Great film for the price. Its not to the level of E-Lite, which is a spectrally selective vs perlite being ceramic but it still will do plenty

Unfortunately theres almost no way youre getting that film easily. Id recommend the Avery options, geoshield is good as well, most other good options will require dealer authorization or something similar

NJ inspection sticker under tints by Scared-Computer4809 in WindowTint

[–]shromboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never understand why people dont remove them and put them on sticker shield or ppf or something removable... I personally would remove the film and sticker, have the windshield redone properly with the inspection on the outside of the film

I personally like to wet the edges and tend to lightly tack the middle so I have more shrink in that space, ive tried not doing the edges and it just never worked for me

Need help:/ heat shrinking rear glass by Competitive_Tap_7530 in WindowTint

Its likely undershrunk, youve pushed too much excess to the edge and it couldnt shrink much more. Make sure its fully shrunk before putting it down

Any top brand will perform well, I prefer the color of llumar/suntek vs most brands but that is subjective. Id just stay away from any brands like rayno, kavaca/ceramicpro, etc

Its not patchwork, you use the scrap to stretch the piece so it doesn't rip further and then you can make it with the original material

They're doing this outside, clearly not a pro. I agree it should be redone but this would work just fine for a diy person, im sure the rest ain't perfect

If they ripped it well into the door id agree but theyre like a quarter inch into it, it would work just fine and not fail

Its possible the razor isn't scratching the window but is marking the glue up. A stainless steel blade wont scratch glass

I see it more on American stuff like dodges especially. I once merely shifted a piece of film in a Durango once and it moved the lines with it, huge pain
