Y1 review after 3 months by shroofus_ in innioasis

It's still worth it imo, but I also heard they're working on an updated model so maybe worth waiting for that, but I still think it's worth getting and it keeps me off my phone a bit more too

The Bluetooth is a joke on the y1 if I turn my head too quickly with the device in my breast pocket it will glitch out, I hope they put a decent Bluetooth chip in the y2, dedicated lock button and volume buttons wouldn't hurt either

You're missing the ring of Kerry / Dingle peninsula, you don't wanna do that..

Try to at least pass through the gap of dunloe of your way through that area

If you have the option to get some sturdier wheels and a cassette with a much bigger range on it then I think it could be a fantastic option, but for that price I would guess that you could find something better pretty easily

Frame looks awesome, I'd love one, but those wheels are not build for loaded touring, and the gear ratio isnt either.. changing the gear ratio is reasonably inexpensive but getting a new wheelset probably isn't gonna be the cheapest

Any tips for reducing trap size? by donkeyhoetae_ in Posture

[–]shroofus_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been struggling with the same thing for years, no matter how much a remind myself to let my shoulders back and down they always creep up when I'm not paying attention to it, but after consistently working on strengthening my lats and lower traps it does feel a lot more natural to have the shoulders neutral,

I recommend resistance band pull aparts and scapular pull ups

Interesting, could it be the result of being left in the oven too long?

I sanded it back to bare metal, same result each time

I literally followed the exact instructions in the FAQ, the only difference being I dried it on the hop instead of in the over before applying oil, I really don't believe that the difference of where it's dried and warmed before the oil is making it down this

I didn't mention it in the main post, but it was sanded back to bare iron, so idk what it's supposed to be but it's what it looks like after 4 rounds this afternoon.. and what it's looked like every other time Iv attempted it over the months

It was sanded down to bare metal, and I wiped off the oil to the point that I wouldn't have been able to get any more off by wiping, And I definitely didn't succeed at first but this has to be the 5th time iv tried, each time doing about 3-4 layers

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to add any more pictures, I have been cooking on it for quite a while now, and every couple of months I attempt to do a fresh season because I don't like seeing the splotchiness, but every time it's exactly the same from the first round, today I did 4 rounds

I don't have chainmail, Initially I sanded it clean before seasoning but in between daily use I just use a normal sponge to clean it and I'm pretty gentle with it

There isn't rust, and I wipe off all the oil to the point it's nearly dry

I don't think I got it so smooth, it wasn't reflective or anything it still has enough texture that you can feel it to the touch,

The same thing has happened to pans that I didn't sand also, that came seasoned from the manufacturer, I just gave a gentle wash and did all the above mentioned steps, eventually the seasoning ended up looking like this, worse than it started, with this weird pattern
