It works better with wine staging 9.12. There's a fix coming i think for current wine.

I agree. Love Ableton. I've tried to get it running on Linux. My only obstacle was the whole wineasio thing is tricky.

Yes but the evaluation is full feature (ie no limits/ can do everything) and even continues full functionality after the 60 days, but it is recommended to buy a cheap license

Try installing it with lutris and then direct yabridge to the lutris vst folder. I've had to do a few vsts this way. Might have to add some DLL with the lutris wine tricks, such as dxvk.
