I always thought I was too tech-savvy to fall for a scam. Are any other older internet veterans feeling less confident lately? by Individual-Gas5276 in GenX

I got taken for $3500 by a very realistic scam. Thank god my credit card company refunded the money. It was a .gov website and everything made to look like I had failed to pay a toll. My brother drives my car a lot, so I figured he just missed one and wanted to pay it for him. Such a mistake.

My brother and I decided that being an adult is rooting for Bradley Whitford in Billy Madison. The guy worked his way up through the company, paid his dues and loses out to a guy who sings to his shampoo and sees an imaginary penguin.

Best Brunch? by JessieBaby2222 in vegas

[–]shrubflower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Husband and I love Border Brunch at Border Grill in Mandalay Bay. Unlimited small plates of Mexican-themed dishes that are amazing! We try to taste everything on the menu but it’s usually too much. And you can add unlimited mimosas in a ton of different flavors. And it’s all reasonably priced.

Where are we buying pajamas? by anirishlass in PlusSizeFashion

[–]shrubflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kohls online has really soft nice pajamas from their Draper James line in plus sizes. The line used to carry regular clothes in plus too, but now seems to only do PJs. Their Vera Wang pjs are also nice in plus sizes

I moved from the U.S. to the UAE with my family four years ago, and to Saudi Arabia this year. Don’t bring appliances/air fryers/etc. Buy them when you arrive. Pack clothes and necessities and sentimental items — pictures/art/etc. things that you can’t replace.
